Description
Auto Ordnance 1911 Squadron Gas Blowback Pistol (Cybergun – 430503)
The Auto-Ordnance 1911 Squadron is a gas blowback airsoft pistol produced under Cybergun’s exclusive worldwide Auto-Ordnance licence and manufactured by Armorer Works. Its theme is a tribute to the volunteer pilots of the 1st American Volunteer Group, who flew fighter aircraft in the Second World War, and it carries engraved artwork that reflects their famous shark-mouthed planes.
Auto-Ordnance has a long history with the 1911, and this custom-themed replica brings that heritage to airsoft with a full metal body, real wood grips and a worn, combat-used finish. It is a pistol with a story, equally suited to a collection, a re-enactment loadout or the target range.
Design and finish
The gunmetal-painted body has been lightly distressed at the factory to look as though it has seen service. The slide is engraved with the American star symbol, a Second World War fighter plane and a shark-mouth design, while the grip carries US markings, including a US engraving at its base. Textured real wood grips complete the look and give a secure hold. Together these details make the Squadron feel like a one-off custom rather than a standard replica.
Performance and operation
The pistol is gas powered with a blowback action, so the slide cycles every time you fire. It fires semi-automatically from a 15-round magazine that sits in the grip in classic 1911 fashion. The adjustable hop-up allows you to fine-tune the flight of the BB for different weights. Like the original, it has both a grip safety and a thumb-operated slide safety, and there is a lanyard attachment point at the bottom of the grip.
Handling
The 1911’s slim single-stack grip and natural pointing angle are retained, and the full metal build gives the pistol a solid, reassuring weight that helps keep it steady on target. The controls sit exactly where any 1911 shooter would expect, so it is easy to pick up and shoot well.

Compatibility
Use magazines made for this model or confirmed as compatible, as 1911 gas magazines vary between brands; please ask us before buying spares. Most standard 1911 holsters should fit. Fill with a quality airsoft gas.
Care and maintenance
Apply a drop of silicone oil to the magazine fill valve and seals every few fills, and keep the slide rails lightly lubricated with silicone oil. Do not overfill the magazine, and store it with a little gas inside to keep the seals seated. Keep the wooden grips dry and wipe them down after damp days. Clean the barrel from time to time with a rod and dry patch, and use good quality seamless BBs. In cold weather, keep magazines warm between uses for the best gas performance.
Who is it for?
The Squadron suits aviation and Second World War enthusiasts, 1911 collectors and re-enactors who want a licensed full metal pistol with a meaningful theme, as well as anyone looking for a memorable gift.
Please note: Gas and BBs are not included. Always wear suitable eye protection when shooting.
