Description
Bushido GI by Saigo Defense AEG Rifle (LiPo Battery and Charger Included – Black)
The Bushido GI by Saigo Defense is a black M4/AR-15 pattern electric rifle (AEG) with a Japanese-inspired identity, and this version comes with a LiPo battery and charger, as stated in the product name. Laser-engraved Saigo Defense markings, with Japanese characters on the right side of the receiver and on the pistol grip, give it a look that stands apart from the many plain M4s on the market.
Under the styling it is a well-equipped modern rifle. Our listing of the same rifle without the battery package describes a full-metal build, a pre-installed electronic trigger unit, a free-floated M-LOK handguard, flip-up sights and a Maple Leaf hop-up rubber. With the power supply included, it is a straightforward package for a new player who wants something distinctive, and a fun second rifle for anyone who already plays.
Build and materials
On the standalone Bushido GI, the receiver, trigger guard, buffer tube, flash hider and iron sights are alloy, the handguard is aluminium, and the sling plate, dust cover, pins and springs are steel, with a polymer stock and pistol grip. That listing gives a weight of approximately 2.49kg, which feels solid without being tiring to carry.
The free-floated M-LOK handguard has a 20mm Picatinny rail along the top and is listed with three M-LOK rail sections already fitted. A sound amplifier with a heat-gradation finish sits on the 14mm counter-clockwise muzzle thread and adds to the rifle’s character.
Performance and internals
The same listing describes a Version 2 gearbox with rear wiring and a standard motor, controlled by an electronic trigger unit for a crisp, consistent trigger. Fire modes are safe, semi and full auto. The rotary hop-up sits behind the mock bolt carrier and is reached by pulling and holding back the charging handle.
A 10.5-inch outer barrel houses a 6.08mm inner barrel of 260mm, fitted from the factory with a Maple Leaf hop-up rubber, which is a well-regarded upgrade part in its own right. A 130-round mid-capacity magazine with a speed loader built into the top completes the set-up.
Handling
A six-position sliding stock lets you set the length of pull for your build and kit, and the alloy buffer tube accepts standard AEG M4 stocks if you want a different style later. Troy-style flip-up sights have two rear apertures: a small one for precise shots at longer range and a large one for close range and poor light.
A flat, curved-tip speed trigger and an ergonomic grip make the rifle comfortable to shoot, and QD sling sockets and a steel ambidextrous sling plate give plenty of options for attaching a sling. A dummy shell deflector and mock forward assist round off the classic M4 profile.

Compatibility
The rifle runs on stick-type LiPo batteries; our listing of the standalone Bushido GI gives 7.4V or 11.1V with a Deans connector, which is worth knowing when you buy a spare. The buffer tube accepts AEG M4 stocks, the handguard takes M-LOK accessories and the top rail suits standard 20mm optic mounts.
The 14mm CCW thread fits most airsoft suppressors and tracer units. For spare magazines, choose M4/AR-15 AEG magazines and test them before a game, as feeding can vary between brands.
Care and maintenance
Take the battery out after every game and store it away from the rifle, and charge LiPo packs only on a balance charger, never unattended and ideally in a fire-safe bag. Run a cleaning rod with a dry patch through the inner barrel every few games, as dirt and fragments of broken BBs are the usual causes of flyers, and stick to good quality seamless BBs of a consistent weight.
Check the screws, flash hider and any mounts before each game day, and store the rifle somewhere dry. A well-charged battery helps the electronic trigger unit read the trigger cleanly, so do not run LiPo packs right down.
Who is it for?
The Bushido GI package suits new players who want a feature-rich, distinctive M4 that comes with its own battery and charger, as well as experienced players and collectors after an AEG with a unique Japanese-themed look.
Please note: BBs are not listed as included. Always wear suitable eye and face protection, and have the replica chronographed at your site before play.
