Classic Army Nemesis X9 SMG (Metal – Red – CA119M)
The Classic Army Nemesis X9 is a compact 9mm-style AR-pattern SMG and PDW, and this version is finished in red. It shrinks the familiar AR layout into a short, fast-handling package built around 9mm-style magazines, with a programmable electronic trigger and a reinforced gearbox inside.
Classic Army has been making airsoft replicas since the 1990s, and the Nemesis X9 is one of its most popular modern designs. It is aimed at players who spend most of their time at CQB and urban sites, where a short, light gun that comes onto target quickly makes a real difference, and the red finish makes it unmistakable on the field and in the gun rack.
Build and materials
The upper and lower receivers are reinforced aluminium alloy, giving the X9 a solid feel without excess weight. An M-LOK handguard provides mounting points for grips, lights and lasers, and the retractable skeletonised stock lets you set the length of pull for your build and the kit you are wearing.
Flip-up front and rear sights are fitted, so you can aim straight away and fold them down when you add an optic. The selector and stock release are ambidextrous, and an extended battery compartment makes battery choice easier than in many compact AEGs.
Performance and internals
Inside is a reinforced Version 2 gearbox with 9mm bearings and a long-type motor, controlled by Classic Army’s ECS programmable trigger. The ECS unit includes a built-in MOSFET, motor protection and low-battery detection, and lets you programme a 3- or 5-round burst.
The hop-up is adjusted through the ambidextrous charging handle, which is quicker and more convenient than opening a dust cover. The outer barrel carries a 14mm counter-clockwise thread for a suppressor or tracer unit.
Getting started
Fully charge a suitable battery before first use, then fit it as described in the manual and connect it carefully. Load a magazine, wind it if it is a high-capacity type, and start with the hop-up turned off. Fire a few shots at a safe target and add hop a little at a time until the BBs fly flat without rising at the end of their flight.
Have the rifle chronographed at your site before you play, and keep a note of the hop setting that suits your favourite BB weight so you can return to it quickly.

Compatibility
The Nemesis X9 uses 9mm-style AR magazines rather than standard M4 magazines, so make sure spares are listed for the Nemesis X9 or compatible 9mm AR-pattern AEGs. It runs on a 7.4V LiPo with a Tamiya connector; check the battery size against the compartment before ordering.
The M-LOK handguard takes M-LOK rail sections and accessories, the top rail takes standard 20mm optics, and the outer barrel takes 14mm CCW muzzle devices. Version 2 gearbox parts are widely available if you decide to upgrade.
Care and maintenance
Take the battery out after every game and store it away from the rifle, and charge LiPo batteries only on a proper balance charger under supervision. Clean the inner barrel with a cleaning rod and a dry cloth patch every few games, as dirt and broken BB fragments are the main causes of flyers. Stick to good quality seamless BBs of a consistent weight.
Check screws, the flash hider and any mounts before each game day, and store the rifle somewhere dry. Leave the hop-up at a light setting in storage, and if the rifle has an electronic trigger unit, a fully charged battery helps it read the trigger cleanly.
