AT A GLANCE

Product overview

These 6mm carp pellets are a small, quick-feeding pellet, supplied in a 900g bag. Smaller pellets are particularly useful for building a bed of bait, as they put plenty of food items into the swim without overfeeding, which keeps fish searching around rather than filling up quickly.

Description

Copdock Angling Carp Pellet 6mm 900g

These 6mm carp pellets are a small, quick-feeding pellet, supplied in a 900g bag. Smaller pellets are particularly useful for building a bed of bait, as they put plenty of food items into the swim without overfeeding, which keeps fish searching around rather than filling up quickly.

The 6mm size is a favourite for Method feeder fishing on commercial fisheries, and for feeding around a pellet waggler or a straight lead. It is a sensible size for carp, bream, tench and F1s, and gives you a useful base feed for most kinds of coarse fishing.

Ways to use them

Pack them into a Method or pellet feeder, either dampened or as part of a groundbait mix, so your hookbait sits on a small pile of food. Use them dry in PVA bags or mesh, or loose feed them by catapult little and often to keep fish interested. They can also be used in a spod mix for carp at range.

You can hook a 6mm pellet with a small pellet band or fish it on a short hair, although many anglers prefer to use a larger or brighter pellet as a hookbait over a bed of these.

Preparing pellets for the Method

To make 6mm pellets sticky enough to stay on a Method feeder, add a little water, leave them for a few minutes to absorb it and test whether they hold together when squeezed. Add more water a small amount at a time if needed. Avoid over-wetting, as soft, mushy pellets are hard to pack and break down too quickly.

Key features

  • 6mm carp pellets
  • 900g bag
  • Small size for building a bed of bait without overfeeding
  • Ideal for Method and pellet feeders
  • Use dry in PVA bags or loose feed by catapult
  • Suits carp, bream, tench and F1s

Compatibility

Suitable for Method feeders, pellet feeders, PVA bags and mesh, spods and loose feeding. They combine well with groundbait, sweetcorn and larger hook pellets. The range is also available in 8.5mm and 11mm.

Care and maintenance

Reseal the bag or store the pellets in an airtight tub in a cool, dry place. Keep them away from moisture to prevent softening and mould. Pellets that have been dampened for the Method should be used on the day.

Who is it for?

Ideal for anglers fishing commercial waters with the Method or pellet feeder, and anyone who wants a small, economical feed pellet for carp and other coarse fish.
