Description
Crafty Catcher Boilie Pouch Crab 150g
This Crafty Catcher Boilie Pouch holds 150g of crab flavoured boilies, ready to use straight from the pack. It is a compact way of carrying hookbaits, ideal for short sessions, stalking, or keeping a spare supply in your rucksack.
Crab is a savoury, fishy flavour, and fish-based baits are used by carp anglers throughout the year. A savoury hookbait can be a useful change when sweet baits are not producing, and a small pouch lets you try it on your own water without buying a large bag.
Using them
Thread one or two boilies onto a hair rig and secure them with a boilie stop. Fish them over a light scattering of free offerings, or over pellets and groundbait so the hookbait sits among the feed. A single savoury hookbait cast to fish you have seen showing can be very effective on a short session.
You can also crush a few baits and add them to a PVA bag or a Method mix to put extra flavour around your rig. As 150g is a small quantity, use them mainly as hookbaits rather than for heavy baiting.
Getting more from them
A light coating of a fishy liquid attractor on the hookbait can strengthen the flavour trail. Fishing a savoury hookbait over fishmeal pellets is a simple, effective combination.
