Description
Cyma M4 CQB RIS AEG (Black, CM501)
The Cyma CM501 is a short M4 CQB AEG with a RIS-style railed handguard, from Cyma’s Sports Line. It is compact, light and simple to use, which makes it an easy recommendation for new players and for anyone who mostly plays indoor or close-quarters sites.
The polymer body keeps the price and weight down, while the Version 2 metal gearbox inside is the most widely supported AEG gearbox design, so parts and upgrades are easy to find as your skills grow.
Build and handling
With an overall length of around 700mm to 780mm depending on the stock position, the CM501 is short enough to move easily through doorways, stairwells and vehicles. The RIS handguard gives rail space for a torch, laser or grip, and flip-up adjustable sights are fitted for backup aiming. The adjustable stock lets you tailor the length of pull, which is especially useful when wearing body armour or a plate carrier.
The main body is polymer, keeping the gun light enough for long game days.
Performance and internals
Inside is a metal Version 2 gearbox with safe, semi and full-auto fire, at a rate of around 800 rounds per minute. The hop-up is adjustable, so you can tune it for your chosen BB weight. Start with the hop-up off, fire a few shots and add hop a little at a time until BBs fly flat without rising.
The battery sits in the stock, which keeps the front end light. The 300-round magazine holds plenty of BBs between reloads.
Getting started
Charge the battery fully before the first game, load the magazine and wind it, then fire a few shots on semi to set the hop-up. Keep the gun on safe whenever you are not shooting.

Care and maintenance
Take the battery out whenever the gun is not in use. Charge the supplied battery with the supplied charger, never leave it charging unattended, and unplug it when it is full.
Use good quality seamless 6mm BBs and run a cleaning rod with a dry patch through the inner barrel every few games. If a BB jams, remove the battery and magazine and clear it from the muzzle end with the rod.
Wipe the gun down after each game and let it dry if it has been in the rain. Store it on safe and on semi rather than full auto, with the hop-up turned back off if you will not use it for a while.
Who is it for?
The CM501 is ideal for new players and for CQB players who want a short, light M4 that is ready to play with a battery and charger in the box.
Please note: Always wear suitable eye and face protection and check the power limits at your site before play.
