Description
Cyma Tactical M870 Operator (Metal – Black – CM355LM)
The Cyma Tactical M870 Operator (CM355LM) is a spring-powered pump-action shotgun in black, styled on the M870 and built in metal, as named. It loads from shotgun shells and fires three BBs per shot, giving the classic shotgun spread at close range without any need for gas or batteries.
Cyma is one of the most widely sold names in airsoft, and the M870 Operator family has become a popular choice for CQB players because it is simple, tough and affordable. Every shot is powered by your own pump stroke, so it performs the same on a freezing morning as on a summer afternoon.
Build and design
The CM355LM is the metal version of the long-stock Operator, as named. Our listing for the CM355L describes that model with a full-length fixed stock, giving a steady hold when shouldering the shotgun, while metal construction gives a solid, rigid feel and stands up well to the knocks of regular skirmishing.
The short barrel and pump-action layout make the Operator quick to point and easy to handle in corridors, doorways and dense woodland. Please see the product photos for the exact stock, fore-end and rail arrangement on this version before buying accessories.
How it works
Shotgun shells hold the BBs and slot into the shotgun. Racking the pump compresses the spring and readies a shot; pulling the trigger releases three BBs together. Because the shotgun is spring powered, there is no gas to warm up and no battery to charge, and the only consumable is BBs.
Three BBs per shot give you a far better chance of a hit on a moving target or one partly behind cover, which is exactly what you want when clearing a building or holding a doorway.
Playing with a shotgun
Think of the shotgun as a close-range tool. Use cover to get close, fire deliberately, and keep moving between shots. Carry spare loaded shells in a pouch or shell holder so you can top up quickly, and practise a full, smooth pump stroke every time to avoid misfeeds.

Compatibility
The Operator loads from Cyma M870-style shotgun shells. Spare Cyma M870 shells are the safest choice, and you should check that any other shells are listed for Cyma M870 shotguns before ordering.
Use 6mm BBs; 0.20g or 0.25g seamless BBs work well. Accessories such as slings and shell holders vary with the stock and rail fitted, so check the product images for mounting points before buying add-ons.
Care and maintenance
Keep the shells or magazine and the loading area free from grit and mud, and wipe the shotgun over after each game. Run a cleaning rod through the barrel occasionally, and use only clean, high-quality seamless BBs, as a single damaged BB can jam a multi-shot system.
Work the pump smoothly through its full stroke rather than slamming it, and store the shotgun uncocked so the spring is not left compressed. Keep it somewhere cool and dry between games.
Who is it for?
The metal M870 Operator in black is for CQB players who want a tough, simple shotgun with a real three-shot spread, for anyone building a police or breacher loadout, and for players looking for a fun second replica that never needs gas or charging.
Please note: BBs are not listed as included; please check with us how many shells come with the shotgun. Always wear suitable eye protection, and full-face protection where your site requires it, when using or testing any airsoft replica.
