D|Boys M4 Body (ABS)
This is a replacement M4 body for D|Boys airsoft replicas, made from ABS plastic. The body (receiver) is the core of the rifle: it holds the gearbox, carries the barrel assembly at the front and the stock at the rear, and provides the magazine well and controls.
An ABS body is light and does not get cold to the touch in winter. It is a practical replacement if your existing receiver is cracked or damaged, or a basis for a lighter-weight build. D|Boys has produced a large range of M4-pattern AEGs over the years, and a direct replacement body saves trying to adapt a receiver from another make.
ABS or metal
ABS bodies are lighter than metal ones and are often preferred by younger players or anyone who carries their rifle all day. A metal body (also available in this range) feels more solid and is stiffer under load. Neither is better for every player; it comes down to weight, feel and how hard you are on your kit.
Fitting
A body swap involves removing the gearbox, hop-up unit, inner and outer barrel assemblies, stock and grip, then rebuilding them into the new receiver. Remove the battery and magazine first, take photos as you go and keep screws and pins in a tray. If you have not stripped an AEG before, it is worth asking a technician to do the transfer.

Care and maintenance
Clean ABS with a damp cloth and mild soap only; avoid solvents and strong degreasers, which can damage plastic. Do not overtighten screws into plastic threads, as they can strip. Keep the body away from high heat, such as a car dashboard in summer.
