Description
Double Bell 1911 Gas Blowback Pistol (Molon Labe – Tan with Pistol Case – 785)
The Double Bell 785 is a gas blowback pistol based on the classic 1911, in a Molon Labe themed design with a tan finish, and it is listed with a pistol case. The Molon Labe theme (a classical Greek phrase usually translated as “come and take them”) is a popular decorative motif on custom 1911s, and this version brings that look to an airsoft sidearm.
The 1911 is one of the most recognisable pistol designs ever made, with its slim single-stack frame, grip safety and straightforward controls. Double Bell (also sold under the D|Boys name) produces a wide range of affordable replicas, and its gas pistols bring popular competition and film-inspired designs within reach of far more players than the high-end originals they are styled on. The 785 suits players who like the classic 1911 shape with a custom-shop look, and collectors building a display of themed pistols.
How a gas blowback pistol works
A gas blowback (GBB) pistol stores gas in the magazine. When you pull the trigger, part of the gas sends the BB down the barrel and the rest drives the slide back, which cocks the hammer and chambers the next round. That moving slide gives a crisp kick in the hand and makes drills, reloads and malfunction practice feel much closer to the real thing. Like all gas replicas, performance drops as the magazine cools, so on cold days keep spare magazines in an inside pocket and allow a moment between strings of shots.
Design and handling
The 1911 frame is slim and points naturally, and the controls are simple: a thumb safety, a slide stop and a magazine release behind the trigger guard. The grip safety at the back of the frame must be squeezed for the pistol to fire, which encourages a firm, consistent hold. The tan finish and Molon Labe detailing set this version apart from standard black 1911s; please check the product photos for the exact markings, grips and sights.
As a sidearm, a 1911 carries well in a belt or thigh holster made for 1911-pattern pistols. Its relatively slim profile makes it comfortable to wear all day, and the familiar layout makes it a good choice for players learning pistol drills.
The pistol case
The listing includes a pistol case, which keeps the pistol protected in transit and in storage, with space to keep a spare magazine and accessories together. Transporting replicas covered is a sensible habit and a fitted case makes that easy.

Compatibility
1911 gas magazines vary between makers, so please buy spares listed for Double Bell 1911-series pistols or ask us before ordering. Holsters made for full-size 1911 pistols are usually the best fit, but a holster made for a railed 1911 may be needed if your pistol has a rail; check the photos. Use good quality airsoft gas as recommended in the manual and seamless 6mm BBs.
Care and maintenance
Put a drop of silicone oil on the magazine’s fill valve and seals every few fills, and store magazines with a little gas in them so the seals stay seated. Do not overfill, and in cold weather let magazines warm up to room temperature rather than heating them.
Wipe the moving parts and outer barrel with a thin film of silicone oil now and then, clean the inner barrel with a rod and patch, and use good quality seamless BBs. Never use petroleum-based oils on the seals, and keep the pistol and magazines away from heat and direct sunlight.
Who is it for?
Fans of the classic 1911, players who want a distinctive themed sidearm, and collectors of custom-look pistols who appreciate a case to keep them in.
Please note: Gas and BBs are not listed as included; please check the product photos for any other contents. Always wear suitable eye and face protection when using airsoft replicas, and check your site’s rules and power limits before play.
