This Double Bell under-barrel launcher, model K-55, is designed to fit AK-series airsoft rifles, giving them the classic look of the Soviet-pattern grenade launchers carried beneath AK rifles. It is finished in black and supplied with a gas grenade shell, so once you have filled the shell with gas and BBs you are ready to start using it.

How it works
The launcher itself has no gas tank, battery or hop-up. Instead, power comes from a 40mm airsoft gas grenade shell, which holds both gas and a load of BBs. You charge the shell with gas, fill it with BBs, load it into the launcher and fire with the launcher’s own trigger. The shell releases its gas in one go and throws a spread of BBs, which is ideal for clearing rooms, catching groups of players behind cover or forcing an opponent to move.
Because the shell provides the power, the range and spread you get depend on the shell, the gas and the BBs you use. Carrying a few extra pre-loaded shells means you can reload quickly between shots.
Handling
Mounted under the front of the rifle, the launcher gives your support hand a solid place to grip and adds a little weight at the front, which helps steady the rifle. Being black, it blends with traditional AK furniture or modern black AKs alike. A sling is recommended, as any under-barrel launcher adds weight to the front end.

Care and maintenance
Keep the launcher’s breech and moving parts clean and free of grit, and use a drop of silicone oil on moving parts occasionally. Look after the shell by filling it only with airsoft gas, putting a little silicone oil on the fill valve and seals regularly, and storing it with a small amount of gas inside to keep the seals supple. Never leave a loaded shell in the launcher after play.
