Emerson MP Style (Flip Up) Sights Gen III
The Emerson MP Style (Flip Up) Sights Gen III are folding iron sights for rail-equipped airsoft replicas, in the third-generation (Gen III) version of this style. Flip-up sights fold flat when you are using an optic and flip up when you need them, so you always have a set of iron sights ready if your red dot fails or its lens is hit.
Emerson (Emersongear) is best known for tactical gear, and also supplies a range of replica accessories. Low-profile flip-up sights are a standard feature on modern carbines, and they also look right on any M4, SCAR-style or modern sporting rifle replica. Why fit backup sights
Even the best optic can let you down: batteries run out, lenses fog and a BB hit can crack a lens. With flip-up sights on the rail, you can simply raise them and keep playing. When folded they sit low enough to stay out of the way of most red dots and magnified optics.
Many players also prefer a rifle that looks complete with sights fitted, even when they run an optic most of the time.
Fitting and zeroing
Fit the rear sight at the back of the top rail and the front sight at the front of the rail or handguard, making sure the two line up. Check that your optic can sit between them and that the folded sights do not interfere with it. Zero the sights by shooting groups at your usual engagement distance; check the product images for the adjustment controls available.

Compatibility
For replicas with a top rail. If your handguard has no top rail at the front, you will need a short rail section for the front sight. Check your optic’s height and footprint so the folded sights and optic do not clash.
Care and maintenance
Keep the sights clean and free of grit so they fold and lock properly. A small amount of silicone oil on the hinge keeps the action smooth.
Check the mounting screws before each game, and avoid forcing the sights when folding or raising them.
