Description

EMG M1919 WWII American Squad Support Weapon AEG with Bipod

The EMG M1919 is an electric airsoft replica of the Browning M1919, the air-cooled machine gun that served with American forces throughout the Second World War and long afterwards. Fitted with a bipod, this version is set up as a squad support weapon, so you can lay down sustained fire from a prone position or from cover rather than relying on a heavy tripod.

Replicas of the M1919 are a rare sight on the field, which is a large part of their appeal. It is a striking choice for WWII and historical reenactment games, for players who want to take on the support gunner role in their team, and for collectors of American military firearms who want a functional piece to display and use.

Design and character

The M1919 has an unmistakable shape: a long, rectangular receiver, a perforated cooling jacket around the barrel and a low-slung profile designed for firing from the ground. This replica follows that layout closely, so it looks right alongside period uniforms, webbing and other WWII kit. It is a large, substantial piece, and handling it feels quite different from a modern rifle.

Because it is an AEG, the mechanism inside is driven by a battery-powered motor and gearbox rather than gas or a spring, which gives consistent, repeatable performance through the day and keeps running costs down to BBs and battery charging.

Using it as a support weapon

A support weapon earns its place by keeping the other side’s heads down while your team moves. The bipod lets you settle the gun on a bank, a log or the edge of a building and fire steadily without having to hold its weight. That makes a real difference to accuracy and comfort during long engagements and defensive games.

Plan your load-out with that role in mind: carry spare BBs and a fully charged battery, find a position with a good field of view and work with your team to cover their advance. Positioned well, a gun like this can hold an area of the site almost on its own.

Handling

Expect a front-heavy, deliberate weapon rather than something for running and gunning. It is happiest deployed on its bipod, and you will want a sling or carry strategy for moving between positions. Take time to get familiar with loading, battery access and hop-up adjustment before your first game, so you are not working it out under pressure.

Key features

  • Electric (AEG) replica of the WWII Browning M1919
  • Bipod for stable prone and supported fire
  • Distinctive perforated barrel jacket and receiver profile
  • Set up as a squad support weapon
  • Low running costs: battery-powered, no gas required
  • Ideal for WWII, historical and reenactment games
  • Eye-catching display piece for collectors

Compatibility

The M1919 uses its own model-specific feed system and parts, so it does not share magazines with M4, AK or other common AEG platforms. Check that any spare magazine, battery or upgrade part you buy is listed for this model.

The bipod and support role suit 0.25g or heavier seamless 6mm BBs, which hold their line better outdoors; adjust the hop-up to match the weight you choose.

Care and maintenance

Disconnect and remove the battery whenever the rifle is not in use, and store it separately at a sensible storage charge. Never leave a battery plugged in overnight or in a hot vehicle, and only charge with a charger suited to the battery chemistry.

Run a cleaning rod with a soft patch through the inner barrel every few games, or whenever accuracy drops, to clear dirt and BB residue. Use good quality seamless 6mm BBs, as cheap or damaged BBs are the most common cause of jams and hop-up wear.

Keep the outside of the gun dry and wipe off mud and moisture after a game. Store it in a padded bag or case away from damp, and have a qualified technician look at the gearbox if you notice changes in sound, rate of fire or trigger response.

Check the bipod legs and locking points before each game, and wipe grit out of the joints so they open and lock cleanly.

Who is it for?

This replica suits WWII and historical players, team support gunners and collectors who want something genuinely different from the usual modern rifles. It rewards players who enjoy a deliberate, positional style of play.

Please note: Battery, charger and BBs are not mentioned as included, so please check before ordering if you need them. Always wear suitable eye and face protection, and check your site’s power limits before play.
