Description
EMG x SAI 1911 Gas Blowback Pistol (Double Bell 703)
The EMG x SAI 1911 is a green gas blowback pistol that brings Salient Arms International styling to the classic 1911 shape. Salient Arms International markings are applied under licence from EMG, and the pistol is built by Double Bell. It is based on the classic single-action 1911 and uses an internal layout modelled on the Tokyo Marui 1911 gas system, which gives it wide parts compatibility.
Build and performance
Construction is metal, and the slide is machined with SAI-style lightening cuts that help with looks and weight balance. The pistol runs on green gas and the slide cycles back with each shot, giving a crisp recoil impulse. An adjustable hop-up lets you fine-tune the BB’s flight path, and the skeletonised trigger and hammer keep the single-action pull short and snappy. A textured grip and flared magazine well make it comfortable to hold and quick to reload.

Good to know
Use a quality green gas and good 0.20g or heavier BBs, and let the magazine warm up on cold days for more consistent blowback. Because it follows the Tokyo Marui 1911 layout, many common upgrade and spare parts are a good starting point when you come to maintain it. As a realistic imitation firearm (RIF), it can only be bought in the UK with a valid defence such as UKARA, and buyers must be 18 or over. Always wear eye protection and check your site’s power limits before you play.
