Description
FMA LaRue Index Clips 60 Piece Set (Black) (TB123)
The FMA LaRue Index Clips 60 Piece Set (TB123) is a set of 60 black rail clips in the style of LaRue Tactical’s IndexClips. Our listing name reads “Larue In (Tan) Clips”, which we understand to be a shortened form of the IndexClip name; the colour of this particular set is the one given in the final bracket, black.
Index clips are small, low-profile clips that sit in the slots of a Picatinny rail. Placed right up against an optic, laser or light, they mark exactly where that accessory was mounted, so if you take it off you can put it back in the same spot and keep your zero. The black finish suits black rails, rifles and optics.
How they help
On the original design, index clips stay in place on the rail until you deliberately remove them, and they let you find your mounting point by feel as well as by eye, which helps in low light. Many players use them to mark the position of a magnifier, a red dot or a laser so that swapping optics between games does not mean re-zeroing from scratch.
Clips can also be placed in a row along a length of rail to cover sharp rail teeth, giving a smoother surface for your hand and protecting the rail from knocks.
Fitting
Push each clip into the rail slot where you want it; check the product images to see the clip shape. Put one or two clips directly in front of and behind each accessory you want to index, and fill longer stretches of bare rail if you want extra protection. A small, flat tool helps when you need to lift a clip out again.
