Description
FMA Protective Goggle Mod.2 (Black – TB970-BK)
The FMA Protective Goggle Mod.2 (TB970-BK) is a pair of protective goggles in black for airsoft. Good eye protection is the single most important piece of kit you can own, and goggles give fuller coverage around the eyes than glasses, sealing out stray BBs from the sides as well as the front.
FMA is a well-known maker of tactical accessories, helmets and gear for airsoft, offering good-value equipment that suits modern loadouts.
Choosing eye protection
Every airsoft site requires full-seal eye protection, and many ask for a recognised impact rating. Before you play, check the markings on the goggles and the rules at your site to make sure they meet the standard required. If in doubt, ask the site staff to check them on arrival.
Fogging is the most common complaint with any goggle. Keep moving air through them, avoid pushing them hard against your face, and consider an anti-fog treatment or wipe made for goggle lenses if you play in cold or damp conditions.
Fit and comfort
Set the strap so the goggles sit snugly all the way around without pressing hard on the bridge of your nose. Try them with your helmet, cap or headset before game day, and check that they still seal properly when you shoulder your rifle and look through your sights. Check the product images for the frame shape, strap and lens before ordering.
Key features
- FMA protective goggles
- Code TB970-BK
- Black frame
- Goggle-style coverage around the eyes
- Can be worn with or without a helmet
- Check the markings against your site’s rules
Compatibility
Goggles generally work with caps, beanies and helmets, but check the strap and frame against your helmet and any headset or ear defenders you wear. If you wear prescription glasses, check the images to judge whether the goggles will fit over them.
Care and maintenance
Clean the lens with water and a soft microfibre cloth, and never use solvents, glass cleaners or rough paper towels, which can scratch or weaken it. Let the goggles dry naturally after use.
Inspect the lens and frame before each game. If the lens is cracked, deeply scratched or has taken a hard hit, replace it or the goggles. Store them in a soft pouch away from heat.
Who is it for?
Players who want full-coverage goggles for skirmishing, whether as a first pair of eye protection or as a spare in the kit bag.
Please note: Always check that your eye protection meets your site’s rules before you play.
