Description
G&G AK PRK9 AEG (Black – GRK-9MM-ETU-BNB-NCM)
The G&G PRK9 is a compact, AK-styled electric rifle built around a 9mm-calibre look, finished in black and listed under the code GRK-9MM-ETU-BNB-NCM. It takes the familiar AK silhouette and trims it right down into a short, stockless SMG-sized package, making it one of the most compact AK-pattern AEGs in the G&G range and a natural choice for tight CQB sites.
G&G Armament is one of the best known Taiwanese airsoft manufacturers, and the PRK9 uses the same proven gearbox and electronics found across its current AEG line-up, including a programmable gearbox with an electronic trigger unit. If you want something genuinely different from the usual M4 or full-size AK, but still want the reliability of a mainstream brand, the PRK9 is well worth a look.
Build and layout
The PRK9 is built from a mix of metal and polymer, keeping the weight down while staying rigid where it matters. At around 350mm long it is very short, and rather than a fixed stock it has a rear Picatinny rail section designed to take compatible buffer tubes, so you can fit the stock or brace style you prefer and keep the rifle as compact or as stable as you like.
Picatinny rail sections on the handguard and on the top dust cover give you room for an optic, a torch and a grip without needing extra mounts. Up front, a removable thread protector covers a 14mm counter-clockwise threaded barrel, ready for a suppressor or tracer unit.
Performance and electronics
Inside, G&G’s programmable gearbox and electronic trigger unit give a quick, consistent trigger response and allow a choice of fire modes: safe, semi-automatic, three-round burst and full-automatic. The burst setting is handy in CQB, letting you put a short, controlled string of BBs on target without emptying the magazine.
The hop-up is adjustable, so you can tune the rifle to the BB weight you prefer. The PRK9 comes with a 40-round magazine, which encourages accurate, deliberate shooting and suits sites and game formats that favour lower-capacity magazines.
Getting started
Fully charge a suitable battery before first use, then fit it as described in the manual and connect it carefully. Load a magazine, wind it if it is a high-capacity type, and start with the hop-up turned off. Fire a few shots at a safe target and add hop a little at a time until the BBs fly flat without rising at the end of their flight.
Have the rifle chronographed at your site before you play, and keep a note of the hop setting that suits your favourite BB weight so you can return to it quickly.

Compatibility
The PRK9 range takes G&G PRK9 magazines, so buy spares made for this model rather than standard AK magazines. The 14mm counter-clockwise (CCW) thread under the thread protector suits the common airsoft standard, so most 14mm CCW suppressors, tracer units and muzzle devices will fit. The Picatinny rail sections accept standard 20mm optics, lights and grips. A battery, charger and BBs are not listed in the box, so check the manual for the battery space and connector and choose a battery to match before your first game.
Care and maintenance
Take the battery out after every game and store it away from the rifle, and charge LiPo batteries only on a proper balance charger under supervision. Clean the inner barrel with a cleaning rod and a dry cloth patch every few games, as dirt and broken BB fragments are the main causes of flyers. Stick to good quality seamless BBs of a consistent weight.
Check screws, the flash hider and any mounts before each game day, and store the rifle somewhere dry. Leave the hop-up at a light setting in storage, and if the rifle has an electronic trigger unit, a fully charged battery helps it read the trigger cleanly.
Who is it for?
The PRK9 suits CQB players who want the smallest practical AK-style rifle, collectors of unusual AK variants, and anyone who likes to set up a rifle their own way with a buffer tube and stock of their choice. It is also a good second rifle for indoor and woodland-edge sites where a full-length AK is a hindrance.
Please note: a battery, charger, BBs and any stock or buffer tube are not listed as included. Always wear suitable eye and face protection when using airsoft replicas.
