Description
G&G CM16 LMG with 2500 Round Drum Magazine (EGC-16P-LMG-BNB-NCM)
The G&G CM16 LMG turns the familiar M4 platform into a light support weapon. It combines an LMG-style upper receiver with an M4-style lower, a bipod foregrip and a 2,500-round electric box magazine, so you can lay down sustained fire without carrying a heavy, specialised machine gun.
G&G’s Combat Machine (CM16) range is known for durable polymer bodies and dependable internals at a sensible price. The CM16 LMG brings that approach to the support role: it is lighter than most metal LMGs, uses the M4 controls many players already know, and accepts standard M4 AEG magazines when you want to travel light.
Build and handling
A Hong Kong retailer lists the CM16 LMG with polymer upper and lower receivers, a length of about 830mm and a net weight of around 4kg, which is light for a support weapon. An M-LOK foregrip with M-LOK sections leaves room for accessories, and the spring-loaded bipod foregrip deploys at the press of a button, giving you a stable firing position from the prone or over cover.
The adjustable stock (listed by a US retailer as a six-position GOS-V3 type with a rubber pad) lets you set length of pull, and the front and rear sights are removable, so you can run iron sights or fit an optic to the top rail. Dummy rounds are supplied for added realism.
Performance and internals
Inside is a full metal gearbox and gear set with G&G’s electronic trigger unit (ETU) and MOSFET, which give a crisp trigger response and protect the electrical contacts. A US retailer notes that the MOSFET is programmable for full auto or three-round burst. A 300mm precision inner barrel and adjustable hop-up deliver consistent performance, and the outer barrel has a counter-clockwise thread.
The 2,500-round box magazine is an electric auto-winding type powered by two CR123A batteries, and the stock has a small compartment for two spare CR123A cells. For lighter, more mobile games, the gun also feeds from standard M4 AEG magazines.
Getting started
Charge your battery fully and fit it as the manual describes, then load the box or drum magazine and, where it is an electric winding type, fit its own batteries too. Test-fire short bursts at a safe target and set the hop-up gradually until the BBs fly flat at the distances you expect to engage.
Support weapons are used under specific rules at many sites, such as minimum engagement distances or semi-only rules indoors, so check with your site before your first game and have the gun chronographed.

Compatibility
The CM16 LMG takes the G&G CM16 LMG box magazine and standard M4 AEG magazines. The M-LOK sections accept M-LOK accessories, and the top rail takes standard 20mm optics.
The box magazine needs two CR123A batteries, and the gun needs its own main battery; check the battery space in the stock and the connector before buying.
Care and maintenance
Remove the main battery after use and take the CR123A cells out of the box magazine if you will not be using it for a while. Charge LiPo batteries on a balance charger you are supervising.
Keep the box magazine’s feed tube and winding mechanism clean and free of dirt, clean the inner barrel regularly with a rod and patch, and use good quality seamless BBs, which is especially important at the volume of fire an LMG produces.
Who is it for?
The CM16 LMG suits players who want to take on a support role with a light, familiar M4-based weapon, and teams who want suppressive fire without the weight and cost of a full metal machine gun.
Please note: The main battery, charger and CR123A batteries for the box magazine are not included. Many sites have specific rules for support weapons, so check before play. Always wear suitable eye and face protection.
