Description
G&G CM16 Raider (EGC-16P-RDS-DNB-NCM – Tan – MOSFET)
The G&G CM16 Raider is a compact M4-style electric airsoft rifle from G&G’s Combat Machine range, listed here in tan with a MOSFET under code EGC-16P-RDS-DNB-NCM. With a short barrel, a railed front end and an adjustable stock, it is a practical, easy-handling rifle that works well indoors and in woodland.
G&G Armament’s Combat Machine (CM) rifles are among the most popular entry-level AEGs in airsoft. They are known for being robust, dependable and easy to upgrade, which makes them a common first rifle for new players and a reliable spare for experienced ones. The tan finish suits coyote, desert and multi-terrain loadouts.
Design and handling
A major retailer lists the CM16 Raider at around 765mm long and about 2.27kg, so it is compact and light enough to carry all day. The adjustable stock lets you set the length of pull to suit your build and any kit you wear, and the railed handguard gives space for a torch, grip or laser, with the top rail ready for a red dot.
Its short length makes it easy to manoeuvre through doorways and around barricades, and the light weight helps newer and younger players handle it confidently.
Performance and internals
Inside is a Version 2 gearbox, the standard M4 layout, so spare and upgrade parts are easy to find. The retailer lists a 235mm inner barrel and a 300-round high-capacity magazine. Fire modes are semi and fully automatic, and the hop-up is adjustable.
This version is listed with a MOSFET. A MOSFET takes the electrical load off the trigger contacts, which helps protect them from wear and can give a crisper trigger response, especially with LiPo batteries. The outer barrel has a 14mm counter-clockwise thread for mock suppressors and flash hiders.
Getting started
Fully charge a suitable battery before first use, then fit it as described in the manual and connect it carefully. Load a magazine, wind it if it is a high-capacity type, and start with the hop-up turned off. Fire a few shots at a safe target and add hop a little at a time until the BBs fly flat without rising at the end of their flight.
Have the rifle chronographed at your site before you play, and keep a note of the hop setting that suits your favourite BB weight so you can return to it quickly.

Compatibility
The Raider accepts standard M4/M16 AEG magazines from most major brands. The Version 2 gearbox takes widely available M4 upgrade parts, and the 14mm CCW thread suits most mock suppressors and tracer units. Check the battery space before buying a battery, and fit a small Tamiya plug or use an adaptor if your battery has a different connector.
Care and maintenance
Unplug and remove the battery after use, store LiPos in a fire-safe bag, and charge them on a balance charger you are watching. Keep the inner barrel clean with a rod and patch, because a dirty barrel or hop-up rubber is the most common cause of poor grouping.
Use good quality, polished BBs and avoid reusing BBs picked up from the floor. Keep the rifle dry, check all external screws now and then, and leave internal servicing to someone who knows AEGs well.
Who is it for?
Ideal for new players looking for a reliable, easy-to-upgrade first rifle, for CQB and woodland players who want something compact, and for anyone who wants a tan rifle to match their kit.
Please note: A battery and charger are not listed as included. Always wear suitable eye and face protection, and check your site’s power limits before play.
