Description

G&G CM16 RAIDER L 2.0E M-Lok (ETU – EGC-16P-R2E-BNB-NCM)

The G&G CM16 Raider L 2.0E is the electronic-trigger version of G&G’s updated Raider L 2.0, an M4-style electric rifle from the Combat Machine range with an M-LOK handguard. The E stands for its electronic trigger unit (ETU), which brings a crisper trigger and programmable fire modes to one of G&G’s most popular entry-level rifles.

G&G Armament is a Taiwanese manufacturer with a strong reputation for well-built AEGs that work reliably out of the box, and the Combat Machine (CM) range is its line of practical, polymer-bodied rifles designed for players who want dependable performance without unnecessary complication. The Raider L 2.0E suits players who want modern electronics and a slim M-LOK handguard in a light, affordable rifle.

ETU and internals

A UK retailer listing for the Raider L 2.0E describes an Electronic Trigger Unit with MOSFET, which gives faster trigger response, prevents locking during rapid single shots and prevents trigger burns, plus a programmable 3-round burst mode. Inside, it lists a full metal version 2 gearbox, a 363mm 6.04 brass tight-bore inner barrel and a rotary hop-up chamber.

That combination of electronic trigger, tight-bore barrel and rotary hop-up gives a rifle that is responsive and easy to set up. Start with 0.20g to 0.25g seamless BBs and adjust the hop-up a little at a time until BBs fly flat.

Design and handling

The same listing gives an overall length of 750mm to 860mm, depending on stock position, and a weight of about 2.5kg with magazine. It describes a polymer outer body, an M-LOK handguard, ambidextrous magazine catch and charging lever, detachable flip-up front and rear sights, a PDW-style stock taken from G&G’s ARP-9, and a 14mm CCW threaded outer barrel.

The ambidextrous controls make it equally comfortable for left- and right-handed players, and the slim M-LOK handguard lets you add only the accessories you need. With flip-up sights already fitted, it is ready to use straight away, and the top rail is free for a red dot or scope when you are ready.

Battery

The PDW-style stock limits battery space, so choose a compact battery and check the dimensions before buying. We list the Airtech Studios BEU battery extension unit, which a UK retailer lists as compatible with the CM16 Raider L 2.0E as well as the ARP9 and ARP556, if you need more room.

Key features

  • G&G CM16 Raider L 2.0E with electronic trigger unit (ETU)
  • MOSFET with programmable 3-round burst (as listed)
  • Full metal version 2 gearbox (as listed)
  • 363mm 6.04 brass tight-bore inner barrel (as listed)
  • Rotary hop-up (as listed)
  • M-LOK handguard
  • Ambidextrous magazine catch and charging lever (as listed)
  • Detachable flip-up sights (as listed)
  • PDW-style stock from the ARP-9 (as listed)

Compatibility

As a CM16 M4-style rifle, the Raider L 2.0E is designed around M4-style AEG magazines; fit varies slightly between brands, so test new magazines before relying on them. M-LOK accessories fit the handguard and standard 20mm accessories fit the top rail.

Battery space in the PDW-style stock is limited; the Airtech Studios BEU battery extension unit that we list is given by a UK retailer as compatible with this rifle. 0.20g to 0.25g seamless BBs are a sensible starting point; heavier BBs often suit longer barrels once the hop-up is set.

Care and maintenance

Take the battery out after every game and store it separately, at a sensible storage charge, rather than leaving it connected inside the rifle. If you use LiPo batteries, charge them with a proper balance charger and keep them in a LiPo-safe bag, and never leave them charging unattended.

Run a cleaning rod with a lightly dampened patch through the inner barrel from time to time to remove dirt and residue, which helps keep the hop-up consistent. Use good-quality seamless BBs, never reuse BBs that have been on the ground, and wipe the outside over after damp or muddy games. Leave gearbox work, shimming and spring changes to a competent technician.

An electronic trigger reads the trigger most reliably with a well-charged battery, so recharge before the battery runs very low.

Who is it for?

The Raider L 2.0E is for players who want G&G’s ETU electronics and an M-LOK handguard in a light, approachable rifle, for left-handed players who value ambidextrous controls, and for anyone looking for a first rifle with modern features.

Please note: Battery, charger and BBs are not listed as included. Always wear suitable eye protection, and full-face protection where your site requires it, when using or testing any airsoft replica.
