Description
G&G MOSFET for L85A2 ETU
This is a replacement MOSFET from G&G for its L85A2 with ETU. The L85A2 is G&G’s replica of the British Army’s bullpup service rifle, and its ETU system relies on a MOSFET to switch the current to the motor. If the MOSFET fails, the rifle will not fire properly, so an original replacement is the reliable way to get it working again.
G&G Armament is one of the best known Taiwanese airsoft manufacturers, and buying an original G&G part is the surest way to get a correct fit and keep your replica working as it was designed to.
What it does
A MOSFET is an electronic switch that handles the high current between the battery and the motor. Instead of the trigger contacts carrying that current, the MOSFET does the work, which protects the contacts and improves trigger response. In ETU-equipped replicas, the MOSFET works together with the electronic trigger unit.
Because the L85A2 is a bullpup, its internal layout differs from an M4 or AK, so using the part made for this model ensures the correct fit and wiring.
Fitting
Fitting this part means opening the gearbox or replica, so it is best suited to players with technical experience or to an airsoft technician. Always remove the battery and magazine before starting work, take photographs as you go, and keep track of small springs and screws.
Before replacing the MOSFET, it is worth checking the battery, connector and wiring, as a flat battery or loose connection can look like a MOSFET fault.
Key features
- Replacement MOSFET for the G&G L85A2 ETU
- Switches motor current electronically
- Protects trigger contacts
- Supports crisp trigger response
- Made for the L85A2’s bullpup layout
- Original G&G part
Compatibility
Intended for the G&G L85A2 with ETU. It is not a universal MOSFET, so it is unlikely to suit other replicas. Check that your rifle is the ETU version before ordering.
Care and maintenance
Handle electronic parts by their edges and keep them away from moisture and static. Route wires carefully so they cannot be pinched by the gearbox shell, receiver or stock when reassembling, as trapped wires are a common cause of shorts and failures.
Once fitted, use a battery suited to your replica, avoid running batteries completely flat, and remove the battery when the replica is not in use.
Who is it for?
This MOSFET is for G&G L85A2 ETU owners and technicians repairing a faulty unit, and for anyone keeping spares for a much-used rifle.
Please note: professional fitting is recommended. The rifle and battery are not included.
