G&G Swat Sub-Machine Gun A4 AEG (Polymer – Blowback – EGP-M5P-A4P-BBB-NCM)
The G&G EGM A4 is an electric SMG in the style of the classic A4-pattern submachine gun with a fixed stock, the layout made famous by police and counter-terrorism teams around the world. This version (EGP-M5P-A4P-BBB-NCM) has a fibreglass-reinforced polymer body and G&G’s blowback system.
G&G is a respected Taiwanese manufacturer with a strong reputation for well-made AEGs. The EGM A4 is light, compact and easy to handle, so it suits CQB players and anyone building a classic SWAT-style loadout.
Build and materials
The receiver and fixed stock are made from fibreglass-reinforced polymer, with aluminium and steel parts used where strength matters. G&G lists the weight at around 2.06kg and the overall length at about 714mm, short enough for tight corridors, with the fixed stock giving a steady shoulder hold.
The polymer construction also means the gun stays comfortable to handle in cold weather, when metal bodies can feel chilly.
Performance and internals
An 18,000rpm high-torque motor gives quick trigger response, and the adjustable hop-up lets you tune the BB’s flight. The inner barrel is listed at 233mm with a 6.03mm bore. Fire modes are semi and full-auto, and the muzzle has a 14mm CCW thread for a suppressor or tracer.
The blowback system moves with each shot, adding a little extra feedback and realism without the need for gas.
Handling
The A4 layout points naturally, and the controls are easy to learn. It comes with a 40-round mid-capacity magazine, which suits a realistic, considered style of play.
Getting started
Fully charge a suitable battery before first use, then fit it as described in the manual and connect it carefully. Load a magazine, wind it if it is a high-capacity type, and start with the hop-up turned off. Fire a few shots at a safe target and add hop a little at a time until the BBs fly flat without rising at the end of their flight.
Have the rifle chronographed at your site before you play, and keep a note of the hop setting that suits your favourite BB weight so you can return to it quickly.

Compatibility
Takes A4/A5-pattern SMG AEG magazines; G&G magazines are the safest choice. Check the battery size and connector against the space in the gun before buying a battery, and use an adaptor if your plug differs. The 14mm CCW thread accepts standard airsoft suppressors and tracer units.
Care and maintenance
Remove the battery whenever you are not using the rifle, and never leave a LiPo charging unattended. Run a cleaning rod with a clean patch through the inner barrel regularly to keep accuracy consistent, and only use clean, seamless BBs of a decent brand.
After muddy or wet games, wipe the outside down and let the rifle dry naturally before casing it. Check that rails, accessories and the stock are tight, and have any gearbox work carried out by an experienced technician.
