This is a replacement charging handle in tan for the GHK G5 gas blowback rifle. GHK produces some of the most realistic gas blowback replicas available, and the G5 is its M4-style rifle, also offered in tan.
The GHK G5 is an M4-style gas blowback rifle, built around a polymer upper and lower receiver with metal internals, and it has an ambidextrous charging handle. The charging handle is used to chamber the first round and is one of the most handled parts on the rifle, so it is also one of the parts most likely to be bent or broken.
Matching your rifle
A tan handle keeps the colour consistent on a tan G5, so a replacement does not stand out against the rest of the rifle. It is a small part, but having a spare on hand means a broken handle does not end your day early.
Fitting
Remove the magazine and make sure the rifle is unloaded and the bolt is forward. Separate the upper receiver following the instructions for your rifle, slide out the bolt carrier group and remove the old charging handle. Fit the new handle in the same orientation, check that the latch moves freely and that the handle runs smoothly in its channel before reassembling.
