The Golden Eagle M16A2 RIS is a gas blowback rifle (GBBR) in black, based on the M16A2 with an RIS (rail interface system) handguard. Gas blowback rifles cycle a moving bolt with every shot, giving recoil, sound and a sense of realism that electric rifles cannot match.

Gas blowback realism
Each shot uses gas to fire the BB and to drive the bolt back, which you feel as a kick in the shoulder and hear as a sharp mechanical report. Getting started
Fill the magazine with the correct gas, holding the can upright and filling in short bursts. Let the magazine settle for a minute, load your BBs and fire a few test shots with the hop-up off, then add hop gradually until the BBs fly flat.
Get the replica chronographed at your site before play. In cold weather, keep spare magazines warm in an inside pocket for the most consistent performance.

Compatibility
Use gas magazines made for this Golden Eagle GBBR; gas rifle magazines are generally specific to their system, so please check with us before buying spares, as AEG magazines will not work. Use the gas type recommended in the manual. The RIS rails accept standard 20mm accessories.
Care and maintenance
Put a drop of silicone oil on the magazine’s fill valve and seals every few fills, and store magazines with a little gas in them so the seals stay tight. Do not overfill, and let magazines warm up to room temperature in cold weather rather than heating them.
Wipe the moving parts and the outer barrel with a thin film of silicone oil now and then, clean the inner barrel with a rod and patch, and use good quality seamless BBs. Never use petroleum-based oils on the seals.
