Description
Golden Eagle M870 RAS Tri-Shot Gas Pump Action Shotgun (Short – Black – M8871 – V2)
The Golden Eagle M870 RAS (M8871, V2) is a short, gas-powered pump action shotgun in black. Its railed RAS fore-end and compact length make it a natural choice for CQB, and each rack of the pump fires a cluster of BBs that is hard to miss with at close range.
This is the second version of Golden Eagle’s M8871, part of a shotgun range known for its metal construction and reliable gas system. Golden Eagle’s M870s are popular across UK sites, so shells and support are easy to come by, and the short black RAS model is one of the most practical layouts in the line.
Compact and railed
The short barrel keeps the shotgun light and quick to point, which helps when moving through corridors, stairwells and vehicles. The RAS (rail adapter system) fore-end gives you rail space for a torch or laser without clamp-on mounts, so you can set up for dark buildings and night games in minutes.
Because the action is manual, every shot is a deliberate choice. Many players find that refreshing after using an automatic rifle, and the black finish matches standard black rifles and pistols.
The tri-shot gas system
Golden Eagle’s tri-shot system sends three BBs out with every pump-and-pull, and a selector lets you switch to a six-BB mode for a wider, heavier spread. Shells hold 30 BBs and carry only BBs, so you refill the gas reservoir in the shotgun rather than each shell.
The M8871 V2 runs on green gas or 134a, and the hop-up is fixed. That keeps things simple: fill, load a shell, pump and fire.
Handling tips
Work the pump fully back and fully forward every time, as short-stroking is the most common cause of a missed shot with any pump action. Keep a couple of loaded spare shells in a pouch or on a shell holder, and practise changing them by feel.
In cold weather, keep the shotgun somewhere warm until you need it, because gas pressure falls as the temperature drops.

- Runs on green gas or 134a

Compatibility
Uses Golden Eagle M870-series airsoft shotgun shells; spare shells are a sensible first extra so you can reload quickly between engagements. The RAS fore-end accepts standard 20mm rail accessories. Standard 0.20g BBs suit the fixed hop-up, and only gas made for airsoft replicas should be used.
Care and maintenance
Put a drop of silicone oil on the gas fill valve before filling and leave a little gas in the reservoir when you store the shotgun, which keeps the seals seated. Fill in short bursts rather than holding the can on until gas spits back.
Clean the barrels now and then with a rod, wipe the shotgun down if it gets wet, keep shells clean, and use good quality seamless BBs.
Who is it for?
CQB and indoor-site players who want a light, quick-handling shotgun with room for a weapon light, and anyone after the classic M870 experience in plain black.
Please note: Gas and BBs are not included. Always wear suitable eye protection when using airsoft replicas.
