Description
HFC Pirate Flintlock Gas Pistol (18th Century – HG-502BN – Silver)
The HFC Pirate Flintlock is a gas-powered airsoft pistol styled after an 18th-century flintlock, the kind of pistol carried by sailors, pirates and officers in the age of sail. This version, code HG-502BN, has a silver finish on its metal details. It is a fun, characterful replica that looks the part on a display, at a costume event or on a themed game day.
HFC has been making gas and spring airsoft replicas for many years, and its flintlocks are some of its most distinctive models. The silver-finished HG-502BN has a slightly more restrained look than the gold version, while still catching the eye on a display shelf or as part of a period or pirate costume.
Build and design
The pistol has a faux wood body with imitation brass-plated metal details, a metal outer barrel, trigger guard and butt cap. The long barrel, curved grip and ornate trim give it the look of a period piece, and the silver finish on the metalwork makes it stand out.
It comes with a faux leather powder flask that is actually the BB loader, and the instructions are printed on a parchment-style scroll, which adds to the theme.
How it works
Despite the period looks, this is a modern gas pistol. Gas is charged through the butt cap, and BBs are loaded using the powder-flask-style loader, which holds 21 BBs. It fires one shot per trigger pull, with no blowback or recoil, and the hop-up is fixed, so there is nothing to set up before you start shooting.
It is not a skirmish sidearm in the usual sense, but it is good fun for target shooting in the garden with a suitable BB trap, for themed games and for photos and displays.
Getting started
Read the instructions scroll first so you know how the pistol loads and how to charge the gas. Fill with a suitable airsoft gas in short bursts, load BBs with the flask loader, and fire a few test shots at a safe backstop.
Always wear eye protection, and treat it like any other airsoft replica: point it in a safe direction, and carry it covered when travelling to and from events.

Compatibility
Uses standard 6mm airsoft BBs; lighter BBs suit a short-range pistol like this, and good quality seamless BBs help prevent jams. Use a suitable airsoft gas as described in the instructions. Standard pistol holsters will not fit this shape, so carry it in a sash, belt or costume holster made for flintlock-style pistols.
Care and maintenance
Keep the pistol dry and wipe the metal parts with a lightly oiled cloth now and then to prevent marks. Put a drop of silicone oil on the gas fill valve occasionally to keep the seals supple, and do not overfill.
Store the pistol and loader somewhere dry, and treat the faux wood and plated details gently to keep the finish looking good.
Who is it for?
Collectors, historical and costume enthusiasts, and players who want a fun, unusual gas pistol for target shooting and themed games.
Please note: Gas and BBs are not included. Always wear suitable eye protection when shooting, and point the pistol in a safe direction at all times.
