Why non-blowback?
Because the slide does not move, all of the gas in the magazine goes into propelling the BB. That gives non-blowback pistols excellent gas efficiency, so you get more shots from each fill, and makes them quieter and more consistent in cooler weather than many blowback designs. They are also simpler mechanically, with fewer moving parts to wear, which makes them dependable and easy to look after.

Compatibility
Use HFC ST8 magazines. The pistol is filled with airsoft gas; check the supplied manual for the recommended gas, and use a gas containing silicone to help protect the seals. Use 6mm BBs; good quality 0.20g BBs are a sensible choice for a pistol.
Care and maintenance
Non-blowback pistols are simple and reliable, but the seals still need looking after. Put a drop of silicone oil on the magazine fill valve and seals every few fills, never use petroleum-based oils, and do not overfill the magazine; stop filling when gas begins to escape. Store the magazine with a little gas in it so the seals stay pressed and do not dry out. Wipe the pistol down after use, clean the barrel with a rod and patch occasionally, and keep it in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
