Description
Hop-Up Chamber for L96 Type Replicas
This metal hop-up chamber is designed for L96-type bolt-action sniper rifles. It is CNC machined, which gives accurate, consistent dimensions and a stronger part than many standard plastic chambers. If your rifle’s original chamber is worn, cracked or simply not holding the hop setting consistently, this is a sensible upgrade.
The hop-up chamber is one of the most important parts of a sniper rifle. It holds the inner barrel and bucking in place, positions the BB at the moment of firing and controls how much backspin the BB receives. Small inconsistencies here show up as fliers and changing point of impact, which are especially frustrating on a rifle built for accurate, long-range shots.
Why a metal chamber
Plastic chambers can flex under the pressure of the hop-up arm or when the barrel is clamped, which lets the hop setting drift during a game. A metal chamber is far more rigid, so once you have set your hop it is much more likely to stay put. Machined parts also tend to hold the barrel more squarely, keeping the barrel, bucking and nub in line with each other.
Fitting
Fitting a hop-up chamber means removing the barrel assembly from the rifle, separating the old chamber from the barrel and transferring or replacing the bucking and nub. It is a job many players do themselves, but if you are not confident working on your rifle, any airsoft technician will be able to fit it. Take care to line up the bucking correctly with the barrel window, as this has a big effect on consistency. A fresh bucking is often worth fitting at the same time.
Key features

- Metal construction
- CNC machined for consistent dimensions
- More rigid than a typical plastic chamber
- Helps hold the hop setting steady
- Good replacement for a worn or damaged chamber
Compatibility
Made for L96-type spring sniper rifles. Several manufacturers produce L96-pattern rifles and their internal parts do not always interchange, so please check the make and model of your rifle before ordering; if in doubt, ask us and we will help. You will also need a compatible inner barrel, bucking and nub.
Care and maintenance
Keep the chamber and bucking clean and free of dust and BB residue. When cleaning the barrel, push the rod from the muzzle end so you do not damage the bucking. Use only good-quality seamless BBs, and avoid oiling the bucking, as lubricant here makes the hop inconsistent. Check the hop adjustment from time to time and tighten any screws that may have loosened.
Who is it for?
Owners of L96-type sniper rifles who are rebuilding, upgrading or repairing their rifle and want a strong, precise hop-up chamber at its heart.
