This Hwasan 45 Series pistol is a CO2-powered, non-blowback airsoft handgun styled on the classic .45 pistol, built in full metal and finished in black. How a non-blowback pistol works
In a non-blowback pistol the slide stays fixed, so no gas is used to move it backwards and forwards. All of the gas from each shot goes into firing the BB, which makes the most of every CO2 cartridge and usually gives more shots per fill than a blowback pistol. With fewer moving parts there is also less to wear out or go wrong.
The trade-off is that you do not get the kick of a moving slide, but for target shooting and as a reliable back-up sidearm, many shooters prefer the efficiency and simplicity of a fixed slide.
Why CO2?
CO2 runs at a higher pressure than green gas and holds its pressure much better in cold weather, so a CO2 pistol keeps performing on winter mornings when green gas replicas can slow down. Compatibility
Uses standard 6mm airsoft BBs and CO2. Heavier BBs, such as 0.25g, often suit higher-pressure CO2 replicas well. Check the magazine and CO2 cartridge type for this model before buying spares, as magazines from other makers may not fit. Holsters made for 1911-pattern pistols are a good place to start, but check the fit before relying on one.
Care and maintenance
Put a drop of silicone oil on the tip of each new CO2 cartridge before fitting it to help the seals last. Do not leave a part-used or empty cartridge in the pistol for long periods, and never store the pistol in direct sunlight or a hot car.
Wipe the metal finish with a lightly oiled cloth after damp games, clean the barrel with a cleaning rod and keep oil away from the hop-up. Always use seamless BBs to reduce jams.
