Description
JG AUG AEG (Battery and Charger Inc. – 0448AT – Tan)
The JG AUG (0448AT) is an electric airsoft rifle based on the Steyr AUG, the iconic Austrian bullpup, finished here in tan. As the name says, it comes with a battery and charger, so once the battery has been charged you are ready to play.
JG (Jing Gong) has made AUG replicas for many years, and they are a well-priced way into the bullpup platform. The AUG’s smooth, futuristic lines still make it one of the most recognisable rifles on any site, and the tan finish gives it a desert look that pairs well with tan and coyote kit.
Bullpup layout
In a bullpup, the magazine and mechanism sit behind the pistol grip, inside the stock. That lets the AUG carry a long barrel within a short overall length, so it reaches out well at woodland ranges while staying handy in buildings, vehicles and dense cover.
The weight sits close to your shoulder, which makes the rifle feel balanced and easy to hold on target for long periods.
Handling
Bullpups take a little getting used to, especially when reloading behind the grip, so spend some time practising magazine changes at home before your first game. Once you are used to it, the compact length is a real advantage when moving through doorways and woodland undergrowth.
Electric operation gives consistent performance in all weathers, without the cold-weather drop-off of gas replicas, and the hop-up can be adjusted to suit your BBs.
Getting started
Charge the supplied battery fully with the supplied charger before first use, keeping an eye on it while it charges. Fit the battery as the manual describes, load a magazine and test fire into a safe backstop, adjusting the hop-up until the BBs fly flat at range.
Have the rifle chronographed at your site before you play, and practise reloading the bullpup a few times so it becomes second nature.

Care and maintenance
Unplug and remove the battery after use, and only charge it with the supplied or another suitable charger while supervised. Clean the inner barrel regularly with a cleaning rod and soft patch, use good quality seamless BBs, and keep magazines clean and dry.
Wipe the rifle down after wet or muddy games and let it dry before putting it away. Store it unloaded, with the battery removed, in a bag or case.
