The JG SCRPN is a compact electric airsoft SMG modelled on the Czech Skorpion vz. 61, the small, distinctive machine pistol that served across the Eastern Bloc from the 1960s. JG’s version uses a polymer body, which keeps the weight down and the price sensible, and it comes as a ready-to-use package with a battery and charger included.
This is the black version, the most traditional look for a Skorpion. It is a good fit for CQB and indoor players, smaller-framed shooters who want a light gun, and anyone after a characterful sidearm or Cold War themed piece.
Design and build
The SCRPN follows the familiar Skorpion layout: a slim, rectangular receiver, a short barrel and the magazine ahead of the trigger guard. A folding stock lets you choose between a compact pistol-sized package for tight spaces and a steadier, shoulder-supported hold for aimed shots.
The polymer construction makes the gun light and easy to carry for a full day, and polymer does not mind a bit of rain or the odd knock against a doorframe. It is a sensible choice for players who want a fun gun without worrying about scuffing an expensive finish.

Being an automatic electric pistol, the SCRPN uses a small motor and mini gearbox powered by a compact battery. That means no gas, consistent performance in cold weather and very low running costs. Compatibility
Use magazines and batteries made for Skorpion-pattern AEPs such as the JG 0451 series; check listings before buying spares, as compact electric guns use model-specific parts.
Recommended BB weights are 0.20g or 0.25g. Avoid very light, cheap BBs, which can damage the hop-up and barrel.
Care and maintenance
Unplug the battery when you have finished playing and store it out of the gun. Small battery packs drain quickly if left connected, and should only be charged with a suitable charger and never left charging unattended.
Run a cleaning rod with a soft patch through the inner barrel from time to time, and use good quality seamless 6mm BBs. Compact electric guns have small hop-up units that are easily upset by poor ammunition.
Keep the gun dry and wipe off dust and moisture after use. If the rate of fire drops noticeably with a fresh battery, have the gun checked by a technician rather than forcing it.
