The JG Swat 5K-A1 is a compact electric airsoft SMG in the style of the famous MP5K, the short, close-protection version of the classic MP5. It is fitted with a railed handguard for accessories, and comes as a ready-to-play package with a battery and charger included.
This is the blue version, finished in blue rather than black. JG is one of the best-known makers of affordable AEGs, and its MP5-family guns are popular for their simple, reliable layout. The 5K-A1 is a great fit for CQB and indoor sites, and for players who want a short, handy gun that is quick to bring into action.
Compact by design
The MP5K was designed to be as short as possible, with a stubby barrel, a vertical front grip and no fixed stock. That makes the 5K-A1 ideal for moving through buildings, around corners and in and out of vehicles, where a full-length rifle can be awkward.
Its short length also makes it a good fit for smaller-framed players, and for anyone who wants a compact primary or a substantial secondary to a sniper rifle or support weapon.
Railed handguard

Ready to play
Because a battery and charger are included, all you need to add is BBs and suitable eye protection. Charge the battery fully before your first game, follow the charger’s instructions, and unplug the battery from the gun after each session.
The MP5 family uses a familiar control layout, with the selector above the grip and the cocking handle on the front of the receiver, so it is quick to learn and easy to operate under pressure.

Compatibility
The 5K-A1 takes MP5-pattern AEG magazines; fit varies slightly between brands, so test spares before relying on them. Batteries need to fit the compact battery space, so check the size before ordering a spare.
The rails take standard 20mm accessories. Recommended BB weights are 0.20g to 0.25g.
Care and maintenance
Disconnect and remove the battery whenever the rifle is not in use, and store it separately at a sensible storage charge. Never leave a battery plugged in overnight or in a hot vehicle, and only charge with a charger suited to the battery chemistry.
Run a cleaning rod with a soft patch through the inner barrel every few games, or whenever accuracy drops, to clear dirt and BB residue. Use good quality seamless 6mm BBs, as cheap or damaged BBs are the most common cause of jams and hop-up wear.
Keep the outside of the gun dry and wipe off mud and moisture after a game. Store it in a padded bag or case away from damp, and have a qualified technician look at the gearbox if you notice changes in sound, rate of fire or trigger response.
