Description
King Arms Black Rain Ordnance AEG Rifle (Tan – KA-AG-196-DE)
The King Arms Black Rain Ordnance AEG is a licensed electric replica of an AR-15 from Black Rain Ordnance, the American maker known for its distinctive custom rifles. This is the KA-AG-196-DE version in tan, and it gives you the look of a high-end custom build rather than a standard M4.
King Arms has a long record of licensed replicas with careful attention to markings and finish, and its BRO rifles are aimed at players who want something that stands out on the rack and in photos while still running on familiar AR-pattern parts. This tan KA-AG-196 version suits desert, coyote and multicam loadouts.
Design and finish
Black Rain Ordnance is known for custom-styled AR rifles with their own distinctive look, and the King Arms replica brings that styling to a full-size AEG. The tan finish suits desert, coyote and multicam loadouts, and gives the custom lines of the rifle a softer, more tactical look.
The AR-15 layout means the controls will feel natural to anyone who has used an M4: pistol grip, selector above the grip, magazine release on the right of the magazine well and a charging handle at the rear of the upper receiver. Please check the product images for the exact handguard, stock and sight layout of this version.
Internals and set-up
Our listing for the KA-AG-196 BB Limited Edition gives a reinforced Version 2 gearbox on 7mm bearings with a quick spring change system, a MOSFET, a 405mm inner barrel, a 14mm counter-clockwise muzzle thread, an aluminium receiver and a battery space in the stock with a Tamiya mini connector. This tan version shares the KA-AG-196 code, so we expect the same internals, but please check with us if any detail matters to your build.
Before first use, fully charge a suitable battery, fit it as described in the manual and connect it carefully. Load a magazine, start with the hop-up turned off and add hop a little at a time until BBs fly flat without rising at the end of their flight. Have the rifle chronographed at your site before play.

- Electric (AEG) operation
- Version 2 gearbox with quick spring change (per our KA-AG-196 listing)

Compatibility
As an AR-pattern AEG, the rifle should take standard M4/M16 AEG magazines; most mainstream brands fit, though it is worth testing a spare before you buy several. Rails accept standard 20mm Picatinny optics and accessories.
If it shares the internals of our KA-AG-196 BB Limited Edition, the battery must fit inside the stock and use a Tamiya mini connector, and the Version 2 gearbox takes many common V2 upgrade parts; please confirm with us before ordering parts.
Care and maintenance
Take the battery out after every game and store it separately at a sensible storage charge, rather than leaving it connected inside the replica. Charge LiPo batteries with a proper balance charger, keep them in a LiPo-safe bag and never leave them charging unattended; NiMH packs should be charged with a smart charger that stops when the pack is full.
Run a cleaning rod with a lightly dampened patch through the inner barrel from time to time to clear dirt and residue, which keeps the hop-up consistent. Use good-quality seamless BBs, never reuse BBs that have been on the ground, and wipe the outside over after damp or muddy games. Leave gearbox work, shimming and spring changes to a competent technician.
Who is it for?
This rifle suits players who want a licensed, custom-styled AR that looks different from a standard M4, collectors of Black Rain Ordnance designs, and anyone after a distinctive main rifle that still uses familiar AR-pattern magazines and accessories.
Please note: A battery, charger and BBs are not listed as included, so please check with us before ordering. Always wear suitable eye protection, and full-face protection where your site requires it, when using or testing any airsoft replica.
