Description
KJW – M9 – 68-69 – Magazine feed lips and gas router – Set
This KJW set contains the magazine feed lips and gas router for the KJ Works M9, parts 68 and 69 in KJW’s numbering. KJ Works is a well-established maker of gas pistols, and its M9 is a popular, reliable replica of the famous service pistol.
Replacing the feed lips and gas router together is the standard fix when an M9 magazine starts misfeeding or leaking gas from the top. Buying them as a set saves time and makes sure the two parts match.
What the parts do
The feed lips sit at the very top of a gas pistol magazine. They hold the next BB in place under spring pressure until the slide or loading nozzle pushes it forward into the hop-up. Because they take a knock every time a magazine is dropped or slammed home, they are one of the most common wear parts on any gas pistol.
The gas router guides gas from the magazine’s outlet valve up into the pistol’s loading nozzle. A cracked or worn router lets gas escape at the top of the magazine, which leads to weak shots, sluggish blowback and wasted gas, so replacing it at the same time as the feed lips is a sensible repair.
Fitting
Empty the magazine of all gas and BBs before you start. The feed lips are usually held at the top of the magazine by a small pin or screw, and there may be small springs or a gas router underneath, so work over a tray and keep track of every part as it comes out.
Fit the new part in the same orientation as the old one, then check that the follower moves freely and that BBs sit correctly in the lips before you gas the magazine. Test the magazine with a small fill first and look and listen for leaks.

Care and maintenance
Keep magazines clean and avoid dropping them loaded onto concrete or other hard ground. A drop of silicone oil on the fill valve every few fills helps the seals stay supple.
Store magazines with a little gas in them and away from heat. Clean off any grit around the top of the magazine before loading BBs, as dirt can stop the lips holding BBs properly.
Who is it for?
For KJW M9 owners whose magazines have started to misfeed or leak, and for techs who keep KJW wear parts in stock.
Please note: Supplied as the part only; the magazine, pistol, gas and BBs are not included. Wear eye protection when testing gas magazines.
