Description
KJWorks 1911 / M45 Compensator CO2 Blowback Pistol (KP-16) Blue
The KJWorks KP-16 is a CO2 blowback pistol that combines the classic 1911 / M45 frame with a front compensator and slide relief cuts, giving it a purposeful, competition-inspired look. This version is finished in blue, so it stands out from more common black and tan pistols while keeping the familiar 1911 handling.
KJWorks is a Taiwanese manufacturer known for robust gas pistols, and the KP-16 is a good option for players who want a 1911 with a bit more character than a standard Government model. It is built with metal parts and internals designed for the higher pressure of CO2, and comes ready for use with an underside accessory rail.
Build and materials
The KP-16 is a metal pistol, weighing around 962g and measuring approximately 255mm long. The compensator adds length and a little extra weight at the muzzle, which helps the pistol feel planted when shooting, and the relief cuts on the slide give it a modern custom look. An accessory rail on the underside of the frame takes a pistol torch or laser.
Performance
CO2 is stored in the magazine, giving a snappy blowback and steady performance in cooler weather, which makes the KP-16 a practical choice for year-round UK skirmishing. The magazine holds 16 BBs, the pistol fires semi-automatic, and the adjustable hop-up lets you set it to suit your BB weight.
Handling
The single-stack 1911 grip, short trigger reach and familiar controls make the KP-16 intuitive to pick up and shoot. With a light fitted to the rail it becomes a capable pistol for CQB sites and night games.

Compatibility
Uses KJWorks CO2 1911 magazines. Takes standard 12g CO2 capsules and 6mm BBs. The underside rail accepts pistol lights and lasers with a standard rail mount. Because of the compensator, check that your holster is open-ended or designed for compensated 1911s.
Care and maintenance
Always remove the CO2 capsule from the magazine at the end of a day’s play rather than leaving it pierced and under pressure, as this puts constant strain on the seals. Put a drop of silicone oil on the tip of each new capsule before fitting it to keep the piercing seal supple. Keep the outside of the pistol clean and lightly lubricated with silicone oil, run a cleaning rod with a soft patch through the inner barrel occasionally, and use good quality seamless 6mm BBs to protect the barrel and hop-up rubber. CO2 pistols are hard-working, so check slide and frame parts for wear from time to time, and store the pistol somewhere dry.
Who is it for?
Players who want a 1911 with a competition-style look and a rail for a light, fans of compensated pistols, and anyone after a reliable CO2 sidearm for year-round play.
Please note: Always wear suitable eye and face protection when using airsoft replicas.
