The KJWorks LS9/M9 is a gas blowback airsoft pistol (GBBP) in the style of the M9, the service pistol that became one of the most recognisable handguns in the world. Design and handling
The M9 is a large, comfortable pistol with a long sight radius and a smooth, familiar control layout, including the open-top slide that gives it its classic look. The full-size grip fills the hand well, which helps you keep the pistol steady when firing quickly.
With the suppressor fitted, the pistol is longer and slightly muzzle-heavy, which many players find helps keep the sights on target. A suppressor on a gas pistol mainly changes the look and can soften the sound a little; it does not make the pistol silent, because the slide and gas also make noise.
Gas and performance
Gas pistols are powered by gas stored in the magazine. Please check the manual for the gas KJWorks recommends for this model and never use a gas or CO2 system it is not designed for. Gas performance drops in cold weather, so keep spare magazines warm in a pocket or pouch.
Set the hop-up by starting with it off and adding a little at a time until the BBs fly flat, then stick to one brand and weight of seamless BB.
Carrying
A suppressed pistol needs a holster that leaves the muzzle open, or you can carry the suppressor separately in a pouch and fit it when you need it. Practise drawing slowly at first, and carry at least two spare magazines so you can keep playing when the first runs dry.

Compatibility
Use KJWorks magazines for its M9-pattern pistols; magazines between brands do not always interchange, so ask us before buying spares. Holsters must suit an M9-shape pistol, and an open-bottom holster is needed to carry it with the suppressor fitted.
Use 0.20g or 0.25g high-quality seamless BBs.
Care and maintenance
Use the gas recommended in the manual and fill magazines in short bursts without overfilling. A drop of silicone oil on the magazine fill valve and seals now and then keeps them supple, and store magazines with a little gas in them so the seals stay seated.
Keep the slide rails, barrel and nozzle lightly lubricated with a suitable silicone product and wipe away grit after each game. Check the suppressor is secure before each game, and store the pistol unloaded somewhere cool and dry.
