Description
KJWorks M700 Sniper Rifle (Take Down) (Gas)
The KJWorks M700 Take Down is a gas-powered, bolt-action airsoft sniper rifle based on the Remington 700 pattern, with the added practicality of a take-down design that splits the rifle into two sections for transport and storage.
KJ Works (KJW) is a Taiwanese manufacturer known for its gas replicas, and its M700 bolt-action rifles have been a popular gas-powered alternative to spring sniper rifles for many years. Running on gas rather than a heavy spring means the bolt is light and easy to work, so follow-up shots are quicker and less tiring than with a high-powered spring rifle. The Take Down version adds portability, making a full-size sniper rifle much easier to carry in a smaller bag.
How it works
Each shot is chambered by working the bolt. Gas is stored in the magazine, so the power source travels with the BBs; retailers list a 10-round metal gas magazine and around two magazines’ worth of shooting per fill. Single-shot bolt action and a gas magazine make for a quiet, deliberate shooting style that suits sniping.
As with any gas replica, temperature affects performance: power and consistency are best in mild to warm conditions. On cold days, keep spare magazines warm in an inside pocket and allow the rifle a moment between shots.
Take-down design and build
The take-down system separates the rifle into two sections, so it fits a shorter case or bag. Retailers list an overall length of around 1160mm when assembled and a weight of around 3.2 to 3.5kg, which gives a steady, stable hold for precise shooting.
The rifle has a full metal removable magazine and a 20mm rail for mounting a scope. A textured composite stock gives a secure hold.
Using it as a sniper
A gas bolt-action rifle rewards patience. Find a good position, range your target, and make each shot count. The lighter bolt pull of a gas rifle compared with a high-powered spring rifle helps you stay on target between shots, and the quiet report helps you remain concealed.

Compatibility
Use KJW M700 gas magazines. Fill with green gas or the gas recommended in the manual. For a sniper rifle, heavier seamless BBs such as 0.28g or 0.30g are often preferred for stability at range, but test what works best with your rifle’s hop-up.
Retailers list a 20mm rail for scope mounting on the M700 Take Down, which takes standard 20mm scope rings; choose a scope with clear glass and a simple reticle. A bipod, sling and padded rifle bag are worthwhile additions.
Care and maintenance
Fill the gas magazines in short bursts with the gas recommended in the manual and stop once the gas stops going in. A drop of silicone oil on the fill valve and seals keeps them supple, and storing magazines with a little gas in them helps the seals stay seated. Gas pressure, and therefore power and consistency, falls in cold weather, so keep spare magazines warm on chilly days.
Run a cleaning rod with a lightly dampened patch through the inner barrel from time to time, and use high-quality seamless BBs of a single weight so your zero stays consistent. Keep the bolt and magazine well free from grit, and transport the rifle in a padded case so the barrel and optic stay aligned.
Who is it for?
The M700 Take Down suits sniper players who want a gas bolt-action rifle that is easy to transport, and anyone who prefers a light bolt pull and quick follow-up shots.
Please note: Gas, scope and BBs are not listed as included. Always wear suitable eye protection, and full-face protection where your site requires it, when using or testing any airsoft replica.
