Description

KWA Magazine Charging Valve

This is a replacement charging (fill) valve for KWA gas magazines. KWA is a well-known maker of gas blowback pistols, SMGs and rifles, and the charging valve is the part you press the gas nozzle against when filling the magazine.

Charging valves can wear, get damaged by an over-enthusiastic fill or collect grit that stops them sealing. A faulty valve may refuse to accept gas, leak while filling or let gas seep out afterwards. Replacing the valve is often the simplest cure, and a spare is handy for anyone running several KWA magazines.

Signs of a faulty charging valve

Typical symptoms include gas spraying back out during filling, a hiss from the base of the magazine after filling, or a magazine that will not take gas at all. Before replacing the valve, try a drop of silicone oil on the valve and a slow, steady fill, as a dry seal can cause similar symptoms. If that does not help, the valve or its O-ring is likely at fault.

Fitting

Empty the magazine of BBs and release all gas first. Use a proper valve key to remove the old valve, taking care not to damage the threads. Fit the new valve with a drop of silicone oil on its O-ring and tighten it firmly but without forcing it. Test with a short fill and listen for leaks before use.

Key features

  • Replacement charging valve for KWA gas magazines
  • Cures many filling and leak problems
  • Useful spare for KWA magazine owners
  • Restores a magazine without replacing it
  • Quick to fit with a valve key

Compatibility

Listed for KWA magazines. KWA has made many different magazines, and charging valves can vary between them, so check your magazine model and compare the valve with your existing one before ordering. Replacement O-rings for KWA charging valves are also listed separately.

Care and maintenance

Before working on any gas magazine, empty it of BBs and release all remaining gas. Put a drop of silicone oil on the fill valve before each fill to keep the seal supple, and fill slowly with the can held upright. Store magazines with a little gas in them to keep seals in shape, and use only the gas type your magazine is designed for.

Who is it for?

For KWA gas pistol, SMG and rifle owners with a magazine that will not fill or that leaks at the fill valve.

Please note: A valve key is not listed as included. Always release all gas before working on a magazine.
