Description
Lancer Tactical M4 LT-01 M933 Carbine AEG Rifle (Black)
The Lancer Tactical LT-01 is a compact M4 AEG in black, styled on the M933 commando carbine with its short barrel and handguard. It belongs to Lancer Tactical’s Gen 2 line, known for dependable rifles that offer strong value, and this package includes a battery and smart charger so you can start playing without hunting for extras.
The M933 has a distinctive, old-school look with a detachable carry handle and short handguard, and its compact size makes it quick to bring into action in buildings, vehicles and dense woodland. Underneath the classic styling is the same pre-upgraded Version 2 gearbox used across the Gen 2 range, so you get dependable performance in a handy package.
Build and materials
Lancer Tactical’s Gen 2 rifles use a nylon-reinforced polymer body. This keeps the weight down for long days on site, resists the scuffs and knocks of regular play, and does not get as cold to the touch as metal in winter. Key wear points use metal reinforcements, so the rifle feels solid in use rather than flimsy.
Performance and internals
Inside, Lancer Tactical’s Gen 2 rifles use a standard Version 2 gearbox, the most widely supported AEG gearbox layout there is. It comes pre-upgraded from the factory with an upgraded motor, 8mm ball bearings and low-resistance wiring, so the rifle cycles efficiently and responds briskly to the trigger even before you start tinkering. A quick-change spring system lets you swap the main spring without splitting the gearbox, which is useful if you want to set the rifle up differently for indoor and outdoor sites.
The 6.03mm tight bore inner barrel and rotary dial hop-up work together to give consistent, flat shots. The hop-up dial is easy to reach and adjust: start with it turned off, fire a few shots, then add hop a little at a time until the BB flies level without rising at the end of its flight. Re-check the setting whenever you change BB weight.
Handling and ergonomics
Being shorter than most assault rifle platforms, the LT-01 is easy to manoeuvre around doorways, barricades and tight corners, and it is light enough to carry comfortably all day. The detachable carry handle gives you traditional adjustable iron sights straight away; remove it and you have a flat-top receiver ready for a red dot or holographic sight.
The front sight is also adjustable, and two sling loops, one at the front and one at the rear, make it easy to fit a traditional two-point sling. The standard M4 controls are quick to learn and make reloading under pressure straightforward.

Compatibility
The rifle takes standard M4/M16-pattern AEG magazines, so spares are easy to find in mid-cap and hi-cap form. Because the gearbox is a Version 2, the vast majority of aftermarket V2 springs, gears, pistons and bushings will fit, along with standard AEG hop-up rubbers and 6.03mm inner barrels of the right length.
Use good quality, seamless 6mm BBs; 0.20g to 0.28g weights are a sensible starting range for most players. Before fitting a different battery, check that it physically fits the battery space and uses a matching connector, and if you plan to move to a higher-voltage LiPo, consider fitting a MOSFET to protect the trigger contacts.
Care and maintenance
Unplug and remove the battery after every game day and store it separately, at a sensible charge level, somewhere cool and dry. Leaving a battery connected can drain it and puts unnecessary strain on the wiring.
Run a cleaning rod with a lightly dampened patch through the inner barrel from time to time, especially if the shots become inconsistent, and never use dirty, cracked or reused BBs. Store the rifle with the spring decompressed by firing a single shot on semi with no magazine fitted, and keep it in a bag or case away from damp. If you are not confident working inside a gearbox, have upgrades fitted by a technician.
Who is it for?
This rifle suits new players who want a complete, ready-to-play package from a well-known value brand, and more experienced players looking for a straightforward V2 platform to upgrade over time. It is also a sensible choice as a reliable loan or spare gun for a club or group.
Please note: Always wear suitable eye and face protection, use good quality 6mm BBs, and check the power limits at your site before play. Fully charge the supplied battery before first use, following the charger’s instructions.
