Description
LayLax Next Gen M4 Hard Castle Nut Buffer Ring
This LayLax buffer ring is a hard part made for the castle nut area of Tokyo Marui Next Generation M4 rifles. The castle nut is the threaded ring that holds the stock tube in place at the back of the receiver, and it is an area that sees plenty of vibration in use.
A buffer ring in good condition helps keep the stock tube tight and the rear of the rifle feeling solid. It is a small, inexpensive part, but worth replacing if the original is cracked or worn.
About LayLax
LayLax is a long-established Japanese maker of airsoft parts and accessories. Its family of brands covers most areas of the hobby, with Prometheus for internal upgrades, Nine Ball for gas pistol parts, First Factory for external and replacement parts, Giga Tec for electrical items and Satellite for loaders and workshop accessories.
The Next Generation system
Tokyo Marui’s Next Generation Recoil Shock (NGRS) AEGs use their own gearbox and many parts of their own, with a recoil system built into the gearbox. Parts made for standard AEG gearboxes do not necessarily fit an NGRS gearbox, and the reverse is also true, so it is important to buy parts that are made for the NGRS system.
Fitting
Fitting normally means loosening the castle nut and removing the stock tube, then fitting the ring and tightening everything back up with the stock tube correctly aligned. Use a proper castle nut wrench, and compare the new ring with the original before you start. Please check the product images, as the name is all we list for this part.

Care and maintenance
Check the castle nut is tight before each game, as a loose nut lets the stock tube turn and puts strain on the receiver.
Store spare parts in a sealed bag or small box, somewhere cool and dry and away from direct sunlight, so rubber and polymer parts do not dry out or deform before you need them.
Who is it for?
This part is for owners of Tokyo Marui Next Generation M4 rifles who want to replace a worn buffer ring or keep a spare in the workshop.
Please note: The replica is not included.
