Description
Laylax Prometheus EG 6.03mm Tightbore Stainless Steel Inner Barrel for TM NGRS HK416D (275.5mm)
This is a Prometheus EG stainless steel inner barrel, 6.03mm tight bore and 275.5mm long, made for the Tokyo Marui Next Generation Recoil Shock (NGRS) HK416D. It replaces the factory inner barrel with a precision part from LayLax’s well-known EG series.
The EG range is offered in a wide spread of lengths so that each replica can take a barrel cut to suit it. Tokyo Marui NGRS rifles are popular for their recoil and reliability, and a quality barrel is one of the most worthwhile upgrades for them.
Stainless steel precision
As the product name states, the barrel is made from stainless steel with a 6.03mm bore. LayLax quotes its EG barrels with a bore tolerance of plus or minus 0.01mm. Stainless steel is hard, resists corrosion and is less likely to bend than soft brass, so the bore stays straight and smooth for longer.
A tight bore inner barrel leaves a slightly smaller gap between the BB and the barrel wall than a standard barrel. Less air slips past the BB, which helps efficiency and shot-to-shot consistency, and a smooth, straight bore lets the BB leave the muzzle cleanly. The hop-up still does much of the work, so pairing a good barrel with a fresh bucking and a careful hop-up setting gives the best results.
Fitting
Fitting means stripping the upper receiver and removing the hop-up unit and inner barrel. Transfer the hop-up rubber, or fit a new one, making sure its lip is even and its window lines up with the barrel. Reassemble, then set the hop-up from zero and add it gradually with the BB weight you intend to use.

Compatibility
This barrel is made for the Tokyo Marui Next Generation Recoil Shock HK416D. Hop-up units and barrel lengths differ between makers and between NGRS models, so please check your replica, or contact us, before ordering.
As with any tight bore barrel, use good quality seamless BBs.
Care and maintenance
Clean the bore every few games with a cleaning rod and a dry or very lightly oiled patch, pushing from the hop-up end where possible, and finish dry. Use good quality seamless BBs of a consistent weight, as dirty or damaged BBs are the main cause of jams in tight bore barrels. Avoid getting oil on the hop-up rubber.
If you are not confident working on your replica, have the part fitted by an experienced technician.
Who is it for?
It is for Tokyo Marui NGRS HK416D owners who want a straight, durable precision barrel that improves consistency without changing the outside of the rifle.
Please note: Only the inner barrel is supplied. The hop-up rubber and tools are not included.
