Description
Laylax Stainless Steel Inner Barrel for AEG Type W (6.03mm – 300mm)
This is the 300mm version of LayLax’s Type W stainless steel AEG inner barrel, with a 6.03mm bore. The 300mm length suits mid-length AEG builds, between compact CQB rifles and full M4A1-length guns.
Retailer listings describe LayLax’s EG W barrel as a 6.03mm stainless steel AEG barrel with a wide-expanded hop-up window, offered in 280mm, 300mm and 363mm lengths. The wider window lets a greater variety of hop-up nubs and tensioners fit, which suits R-hop and other extended hop set-ups as well as standard ones.
Built for hop-up tuning
A standard hop window can restrict which nubs and tensioners sit squarely on the bucking. The wider window on the Type W gives more space, so a flat nub, tensioner or R-hop patch can be fitted and positioned more easily.
The stainless steel barrel is rigid and resists bending far better than brass or aluminium, and the 6.03mm tight bore helps the air seal behind the BB for more consistent shots.
Fitting
Remove the hop-up unit and original barrel, then fit your chosen bucking and nub so that the window and nub line up and the lip of the rubber sits evenly. With a wide window, take extra care that a tensioner or R-hop patch is seated centrally. Reassemble, then add hop gradually from zero.

Please check that the length and hop-up unit suit your replica before ordering, or contact us.
Care and maintenance
Clean the bore every few games with a cleaning rod and a dry or very lightly oiled patch, and finish dry. Use good quality seamless BBs of a consistent weight, as dirty or damaged BBs are the main cause of jams in tight bore barrels, and keep oil off the hop-up rubber.
If you are not confident working on your replica, have the part fitted by an experienced technician.
Who is it for?
It suits AEG owners and techs building a mid-length rifle who want a rigid, precise barrel with a window that accepts their choice of hop-up set-up.
Please note: Only the inner barrel is supplied. The bucking, nub and tools are not included.
