This Laylax Prometheus EG Barrel is a 380mm stainless steel inner barrel with a 6.03mm tight bore, sized for the PTS Masada AEG. It gives Masada owners a precision replacement for the factory barrel from Laylax’s Prometheus upgrade range.
The Masada is a modular rifle that many owners like to tune, and the inner barrel is a straightforward place to start. A precision bore helps the rifle shoot more consistently without changing its looks or handling.
Build and materials
Like other EG barrels, it is made from stainless steel with a 6.03mm bore, giving a stiff, corrosion-resistant barrel that keeps its finish. The 380mm length is chosen to match the PTS Masada.
Setting it up
When fitting a new inner barrel, it is worth inspecting the hop-up rubber and nub at the same time. A clean, well-seated bucking lets the precision bore do its job, while a worn one can cause flyers.
Once installed, adjust the hop-up for your BB weight and test on a chronograph before playing. A tight bore barrel can increase muzzle velocity slightly, so you may need to adjust the spring to stay inside your site’s limits.

Compatibility
Made for the PTS Masada AEG. It may also suit other AEGs that use a 380mm inner barrel and a standard hop-up unit, but check your replica’s barrel length and hop-up type before ordering. The hop-up rubber is not included.
Care and maintenance
Run a dry, lint-free patch through the bore before fitting and periodically afterwards, especially after dusty or wet games. Avoid oils and grease inside the barrel and on the hop-up rubber.
Use seamless BBs of a consistent weight and store the rifle with the magazine and battery out. Handle the barrel carefully when it is out of the gun so it stays straight and the muzzle crown is not damaged.
