Nuprol AUG Air Nozzle

The Nuprol AUG Air Nozzle is an aluminium replacement air nozzle for AUG-pattern AEG rifles. It measures 24.75mm long and has an inner O-ring that seals against the cylinder head, helping to keep air going where it should: behind the BB.

The air nozzle is a small part with a big job. Each shot, it pulls back to let a BB into the hop-up chamber, then pushes forward to seal it in, and it carries the air from the cylinder into the barrel. A worn, cracked or poorly sealing nozzle can cause misfeeds, inconsistent power and lost range. Nuprol’s aluminium nozzle is a durable fix and a sensible part of any air seal upgrade.

Build and materials

Aluminium is much stronger than the plastic used in many standard nozzles, so it resists cracking and wear from the tappet plate. The inner O-ring creates a full seal with the cylinder head, reducing air leaks between the cylinder and the nozzle, which can help improve consistency from shot to shot.

Why nozzle length matters

Different AEG models use different nozzle lengths, depending on the gearbox and the position of the hop-up chamber. Too short, and the BB may not be pushed fully into the bucking, causing inconsistent shots; too long, and it can cause double feeding or jams. This nozzle is 24.75mm long to suit AUG AEGs.

Care and maintenance

Fitting requires opening the gearbox. Do not grease the outside of the nozzle or the hop-up area, as grease here can contaminate the bucking and cause erratic shots. A tiny amount of silicone oil on the O-ring helps the seal. Check the nozzle for wear whenever the gearbox is open.
