Description

Premier Loaded Balsa Waggler 3BB

The Premier Loaded Balsa Waggler is made from high density balsa wood and is partially loaded, which reduces the amount of shot you need on the line. Taking 3BB, it is a great choice for short-range waggler fishing on lakes, ponds and commercial fisheries.

Balsa is a classic float material: buoyant, stable and quick to respond to bites. A loaded waggler adds weight in the base, which helps the float fly straight when cast, cocks it quickly as it lands, and means you need fewer shot on the line. That gives your bait a more natural fall through the water and helps reduce tangles.

Why choose a loaded float

With an unloaded waggler, most of the shot is bunched around the float to provide casting weight. Because this float is partially loaded, part of that weight is already built in. You can use less locking shot, leaving more freedom in how you spread the remaining shot down the line, which is especially useful when fishing on the drop for fish feeding in mid-water.

Using it on the bank

Attach the float by the base, either through the eye or with a float adaptor, and lock it in place with shot or float stops. Add the remaining shot down the line to cock the float and present the bait as you want it. Plumb the depth, adjust so just the tip shows and sink the line after casting to reduce the effect of drift.

Key features

  • High density balsa wood construction
  • Partially loaded to reduce shot on the line
  • Carries 3BB shot
  • Stable and buoyant for clear bite indication
  • More natural fall of the bait
  • Fewer tangles on the cast

Compatibility

Suits a standard float or match rod with a sinking mainline. A 3BB float is best at short range in calm to moderate conditions; choose a heavier waggler for longer casts or windy weather.

Care and maintenance

Keep floats in a float tube or box to protect the tips. Check the paintwork and tip for chips, as water getting into balsa can change how the float sits. Dry before storing.

Who is it for?

Pleasure and match anglers fishing the waggler at short range on stillwaters, including beginners who want a simple float that is easy to set up.
