Description
PVA Bags 130x80mm
These PVA bags measure 130 x 80mm and dissolve in water, leaving a compact pile of free offerings right next to your hookbait. They are one of the simplest and most effective ways to get bait tight to your rig and to protect your hook point from snagging on the cast.
The 130 x 80mm size makes a medium-sized bag, holding a good helping of pellets, crushed boilies or chopped baits for carp and specimen fishing, while still casting accurately and sinking quickly.
Why use PVA bags
Placing a bag of free offerings around your hookbait creates a small, concentrated feeding spot exactly where you want the fish to be. Hooking or nicking your lead into the bag also helps reduce tangles, because the rig is held in place during the cast. On weedy or silty bottoms, a bag helps ensure your hookbait sits on top of a bed of feed rather than sinking out of sight.
How to use them
Fill the bag with your chosen dry bait, packing it tightly to remove air pockets. Place your hook or lead in the bag, or thread it onto the hooklink, and tie or seal the top. Lick or moisten the corners lightly to compact the bag if you like, then cast out. Tightly packed bags fly better and sink faster.
Key features
- Size: 130 x 80mm
- Dissolves in water to release free offerings
- Places bait right next to your hookbait
- Helps prevent tangles on the cast
- Medium size for carp and specimen fishing
Compatibility
Use with dry baits only, such as pellets, crushed boilies, dry groundbait and dried or oiled particles. Wet baits, including fresh maggots, sweetcorn in liquid and wet groundbait, will dissolve the bag before it reaches the water.
Care and maintenance
Store unused bags in an airtight container, away from damp and humidity. Always handle with dry hands. Moisture in the air can soften PVA, so do not leave the bags open in your bag or bivvy.
Who is it for?
Carp and specimen anglers looking to put a concentrated pile of feed around their hookbait and reduce tangles on the cast.
Please note: Use dry baits only, as PVA dissolves on contact with water.
