Description
Ruger Super Hawk 8 Inch CO2 Revolver (Silver)
The Ruger Super Hawk 8 Inch is a 6mm CO2 revolver made by Umarex under official licence from Ruger. It is styled on Ruger’s big-frame hunting revolvers, and the long 8 inch barrel gives it a commanding, distinctive profile that stands out on any range or in any collection. The silver finish makes it especially eye-catching, a natural choice for collectors and anyone who enjoys a classic stainless-look revolver.
Umarex is one of the best-known names in licensed replicas, and this revolver shows why: the construction is almost entirely metal, it weighs around 990g and it has the solid, weighty feel that revolver fans look for. With eight shots per load and simple CO2 power, it is easy to pick up and enjoy, whether you are plinking in the garden, practising aimed shooting or adding a characterful sidearm to a themed loadout.
Build and finish
Nearly all of the revolver is metal, which gives it real heft and a reassuringly solid feel in the hand. At around 345mm long it is a large revolver, and that size is a big part of its appeal. A 21mm rail allows you to mount a red dot sight or similar optic, a popular addition for target shooting that turns the long-barrelled revolver into a very steady aiming platform.
Shooting and handling
The long barrel gives a long sight radius, which helps when you are taking careful, aimed shots at targets. The weight of the revolver also helps steady your hold. CO2 power means there are no batteries to charge and no gas to top up from a can: fit a capsule and you are ready to shoot. With eight shots per load you get a good string of fire before you need to reload.
Getting started
Before your first session, read the manual supplied with the revolver so you are familiar with how to fit the CO2 capsule, load the BBs and operate the safety features. Load, fit a fresh capsule and fire a few shots at a target at a comfortable distance to get used to the trigger and the sight picture. If you add a red dot, zero it at the distance you shoot most often. Once you are comfortable, the long barrel and steady weight make it rewarding to work on tight groups at longer distances.

Care and maintenance
Put a drop of silicone oil on the tip of each new CO2 capsule before fitting it, which helps protect the seals. Do not leave a capsule in the revolver for long periods: shoot it empty or remove it once it is exhausted. Wipe the metal surfaces with a lightly oiled cloth after use to protect the finish, and keep the revolver in a dry place. If accuracy drops, run a cleaning rod and cloth through the barrel. CO2 performance falls in cold weather, so allow a short pause between shots on colder days.
Who is it for?
Collectors, revolver enthusiasts and target shooters who want a striking silver revolver with real weight and presence, as well as players looking for a distinctive sidearm for themed games.
Please note: CO2 capsules and BBs are not included. Always wear suitable eye protection.
