Description
Saigo AK47 Spring Action Rifle (Full Stock – Polymer – Black)
The Saigo AK47 is a spring-action rifle styled on the classic AK-47, with a full stock and a black polymer body. As a spring rifle, it is cocked by hand before each shot, so there is no battery to charge and no gas to buy, which keeps it simple and inexpensive to run.
Saigo Defense makes affordable replicas aimed at new players, and this AK47 is designed as an accessible first rifle or garden plinker with one of the most recognisable outlines in the world. It is a good way to learn the basics of aiming and safe handling before moving on to an electric or gas rifle.
How it works
Each time you cock the rifle, a spring is compressed behind a piston. Pulling the trigger releases the spring, and the piston pushes a burst of air that sends the BB down the barrel. Because the power comes from your own cocking action, performance is the same whether it is hot or cold, and there is nothing to run flat.
One shot per cocking action encourages careful, deliberate shooting and helps new shooters develop good habits.
Design and handling
The full stock gives a stable shoulder position, which helps younger and newer shooters hold the rifle steadily. The polymer body keeps the weight down, so it is easy to handle for long target sessions, and the black finish gives it the classic AK look.
Use it for target practice in the garden with a proper backstop, or for relaxed games with friends where everyone is using similar low-powered replicas.
Getting started
Read the manual first, so you know how the safety, loading and cocking work. Load BBs as described, cock the rifle and fire a few shots at a safe backstop, such as a BB trap or a box with an old blanket inside. Paper targets at a few metres show how the rifle groups and make practice more rewarding.
Keep the safety on until you are ready to shoot, and supervise younger shooters at all times.
Key features
- AK47-style spring-action rifle
- Full stock for a stable hold
- Lightweight black polymer body
- No battery or gas needed
- One shot per cocking action
- Consistent in any weather
- Affordable first rifle from Saigo Defense
Compatibility
Use 6mm airsoft BBs; lighter BBs such as 0.12g or 0.20g suit budget spring rifles best, but follow the weight the manual recommends.
Magazines and parts for spring rifles are model-specific and are not interchangeable with electric AK magazines, so please ask us before buying spares.
Care and maintenance
Keep the barrel clean with a rod and patch, and stick to good quality polished BBs. Avoid firing without BBs where you can, and always store the rifle uncocked so the spring keeps its strength.
Wipe the outside down after damp or muddy games and let it dry naturally. Check screws, scope mounts and the stock hinge or sling points now and then, and have any internal upgrades fitted by someone experienced with that platform.
Who is it for?
This rifle is ideal for beginners, younger shooters under adult supervision and anyone wanting an inexpensive, no-fuss AK-style rifle for target shooting.
Please note: BBs are not mentioned as included. Always wear suitable eye and face protection, use a safe backstop for target practice and check your site’s rules before play.
