Description
Saigo Defense Kamikaze XS Grenade – 9mm – Black
The Saigo Defense Kamikaze XS is a compact, reusable impact grenade that fires a 9mm blank. This version is finished in black. It is designed for airsoft games, combat simulation and police and military training, where a loud, realistic grenade effect adds pressure and atmosphere to room clearing and assaults.
Saigo Defense is known for well-engineered reusable pyrotechnic devices, and the XS is one of its smallest and lightest models. Because the body is reused and only the blank is consumed, it is far cheaper to run over a season than single-use grenades.
How it works
The Kamikaze XS is impact-actuated. Instead of a cotter pin or similar safety lock, it uses a ring that has to be pulled to arm it, and the neck of the firing mechanism is secured with a 3D printed collar. Once armed, the grenade fires the blank when it strikes the ground or another surface after being thrown.
The bobble-head design and small size make it easy to carry several in a pouch and quick to deploy around corners and through doorways.
Build
The body is made from stainless steel and aircraft-grade aluminium, which gives it the strength to cope with repeated throws onto hard floors. It measures roughly 10 x 3.4cm and weighs around 334g, so it is easy to throw accurately over short distances.
Using it safely
Only load and arm the grenade when you are ready to throw it, follow your site’s rules on pyrotechnics and blank-firing devices, and never throw it directly at another player. Allow it to cool before handling and reloading.
