Description
Saigo Defense Kamikaze XS Grenade – 9mm – Gold
This is the gold-finished version of the Saigo Defense Kamikaze XS, a small, reusable impact grenade that fires a 9mm blank. The gold finish makes it stand out in your kit and easier to find after it has been thrown into a dim room or long grass.
Saigo Defense specialises in reusable pyrotechnic devices for airsoft and training. The XS is built to be light and compact, so it can be carried in a small pouch and used again and again with only the blank being replaced.
Operation
The grenade is armed by pulling a ring rather than removing a cotter pin, and the neck of the firing mechanism is held by a 3D printed collar. When the armed grenade strikes a surface after being thrown, it fires the 9mm blank to give a sharp, loud report.
Its bobble-head shape and short length suit underarm throws around corners and into rooms, which is where impact grenades are most useful.
Construction
The Kamikaze XS is made from stainless steel and aircraft-grade aluminium. It is around 10 x 3.4cm and about 334g, giving enough weight to throw accurately while staying easy to carry.
Good practice
Arm the grenade only at the point of throwing, follow your site’s briefing on pyrotechnics, and never aim it at another player. Give it time to cool before picking it up and reloading.
