Description

Saigo Defense Kenji Zero AEG (Polymer Body – With 11.1V LiPo Battery and Charger – Black)

The Saigo Defense Kenji Zero is a black electric airsoft rifle (AEG) with a polymer body, supplied with an 11.1V LiPo battery and charger as stated in the product name. It belongs to Saigo Defense’s Kenji family of affordable, modern-looking rifles and is designed to give new players a well-equipped package without a big outlay.

Saigo Defense sets out to make airsoft accessible without leaving players with a basic, featureless rifle. A UK retailer lists the Kenji Zero Fighter with an M-LOK rail system, an electronic trigger unit and metal parts in the key areas of the gearbox, which puts it a step above many entry-level guns. With the power supply included, you only need BBs to get started.

Build and design

The polymer body keeps the weight down and is tough enough for everyday skirmishing. The retailer lists an M-LOK rail system with a 20mm top rail, so you can add a light, grip or optic where you want them, together with flip-up sights, an ergonomic pistol grip and a vertical grip. The muzzle is listed with a 14mm counter-clockwise thread, the common airsoft standard, for a flash hider, mock suppressor or tracer.

Internals and performance

Inside, the same listing gives a metal-toothed piston, a metal nozzle and a metal cylinder head, all parts that take a lot of stress in an AEG gearbox. An electronic trigger unit (ETU) improves trigger response and helps protect the electrics, and a blade trigger gives a modern feel. The hop-up is adjustable, and fire modes are listed as safe, semi and full auto.

The retailer lists a 130-round mid-capacity magazine, which feeds reliably without the rattle of a high-capacity magazine. Please note that the retailer’s listing is for the long version of the Kenji Zero Fighter; our product name does not state the length, so please check the images or ask us if this matters to you.

Getting started

Charge the supplied 11.1V LiPo battery on the supplied charger before first use, staying with it while it charges. Fit the battery as described in the manual, load the magazine and start with the hop-up turned off. Fire a few shots at a safe target and add hop gradually until the BBs fly flat without rising at the end of their flight, then have the rifle chronographed at your site before you play.

Compatibility

The M-LOK rail system takes standard M-LOK accessories and the top rail suits standard 20mm optic mounts. The 14mm CCW thread accepts common airsoft flash hiders and mock suppressors. Please check with us which spare magazines fit before ordering, and when buying a second battery, match the voltage and connector of the supplied pack.

Care and maintenance

Take the battery out after every game and store it away from the rifle, and charge LiPo packs only on a balance charger, never unattended and ideally in a fire-safe bag. Run a cleaning rod with a dry patch through the inner barrel every few games, as dirt and fragments of broken BBs are the usual causes of flyers, and stick to good quality seamless BBs of a consistent weight.

Never leave a LiPo fully discharged or charge one that looks swollen or damaged. Check screws and the muzzle device before each game day, and store the rifle somewhere dry.

Who is it for?

The Kenji Zero suits new and budget-conscious players who want a modern AEG with an ETU and M-LOK rails, supplied ready to charge and play with its own LiPo battery and charger.

Please note: BBs are not listed as included. Always wear suitable eye and face protection, and have the replica chronographed at your site before play.
